Hi Pete
Don't know whether you can help but - coming back from Birkenhead last night got down to Huntley - a small village just outside Gloucester - and got flashed by a Gatso in a 30 zone. Speedo was reading 30/31 and GPS was reading 30. There was a car coming the other way but there seemed to be a fairly long delay between the two flashes - seemed about 1/2 - 1 second. Of course by the time of the second flash I had travelled a few metres. What are the chances of getting done? Any defence?
Thanks M8
Barry. BTW it was in company car not the SX.
Sure it wasn't lightning Barry  :D
Seriously, we had lightning in Bristol last night and for a split second I thought I had been Gatso'ed :o
Good luck if it weren't lightning though :(

I suspect it was the car going the other way that set it off. Even if it wasnt the camera will record the actual speed you were doing so nothing will happen.
But you really should be more careful, what with your driving experience and training you should know that 31mph is dangerous and reckless not to mention downright criminal.:D:D

Thanks Steve.:D :D :D :D :D
Did 170 miles last night and of course I always keep to the spedd limits in urban areas. One reason why I invested in an Origin Bluei
You can never be sure of the unexpected, hidden speed trap. I've heard of zero tolerance but that one is taking the p*ss.
No Jeff it wasn't lightening.

Could've been kids with fireworks, that happened to me the other night and the next day I saw that there wasn't even a camera. :)

Deffo a Gatso. The Gps had already located it and I slowed down to enter the 40 limit at 40 and then the 30 limit at 30. Gps was set up to give warning of higher speed than the legal limit and had gone into quiet mode, i.e. speed was down to legal limit or below. Still concerned, though. Have to wait and see what happens.:( :( :( :( :(
I'd say it was most likely that the car coming in the other direction set it off, don't sweat mate:D

Don't worry.
Camera was probably empty of film or camera. May have been flash unit only.
If they do send a NIP PM me and I will suggest ways in which to wriggle out of a conviction.
Sorry for not replying sooner. I have been away and anebriated.
