Why did he not buy a Porsche Boxster S, add a few options so that it cost £50k then sell it, and buy a sodding Lexus and have a few grand in the bank.

Sorry guys, I'm disagreeing with ALL of you and most of the Petrolheads forum thread.

The guy isn't us. Therefore he didn't choose a Porsche etc. He chose a Lexus LS430.

Have you guys all driven one?

I haven't, but I've been ferried about in an LS400 many many times at a previous job. And they are hellishly nice A to B cars.

Which is probably what this guy was after.

tvr, porker, xk8 and the likes are all 10 a penny, now ive only seen one lexus 430, it had its roof down ind it made me look twice, rather sexy, i prefer the rareity factor, hence would never have mister 2 tubby

Fair comment Tim,

But what's being said here is why didn't he get a car worth £50,000, sell it and THEN buy the Lexus?

He would have had enough change to pay for the insurance for a couple of years!!!

Anyway why not a Skyline:confused: if there are any at the show, (I'm going tomorrow so I'll be able to find out!)
