im gonna go cuz i want to see sum gorgeous old cars. oh n it starts at 11am...
i reckon we should all meet up at beefeater n go to this instead! gotta b a bit more fun that standin round in the services n a lot cheaper on fuel too!

Now i've ripped mine semi apart a few times, i've kinda lost that apprehension so just do what i used to do. Thanks mammoth and chan for helping me out initially to get the balls to do it again :)

Did it all today so im pooped now but soooooo happy i found 3 nuts loose on the tubby so sorted that and 2 bolts missing so sorted that too. She sounds lovely now.Tomorrow is new brakes and then soon new exhaust.:thumbs:

Yup defo :) I gave the rear end + bumper + boot a clay bar session 2 weeks ago and that seemed to remove loads of rust thankfully, so will be MUCH easier for your guy to polish :)

On the 2nd to last day my collegue of my old job managed to slightly dent my passenger wing and scrap i just below the indicator :annoyed: Beginning to think not to care about the paint work too much and just wait till I can afford a body kit and lairy paint to slap on it first before making it look real pretty hehe. But defo up for getting the polish finished off :)

If i can get my engine sorted to stage 2 (very nearly got enough for it now :D) and alignment components asap, then I can save up sharpish for the bodykit and then the spray :D I will prob go for one of the URAS kits, and MAYBE just MAYBE spray it myself. Not sure yet but I wouldn't mind as I have the kit (granted not a decent sprayer/compressor but it works).

me and my dad putting back together but the head and bottom end have been down garage being done only got piston size last week so have been waiting for all the parts to come through. so hopefully hav bottm end and cylinder head back next week just before i go holiday for week so wont be able to put back together till i get back. bought a few bits though:)

I know exactly what you mean. I lived in the Alps for 9 months and love the roads there. The autoroutes are soooooo tempting (shame I had a wussy diesel then but fuel economy was nice) The Alpine roads are awesome, fantastic views and excellent driving.

BTW, later in the year we (me and other half) are planning on doing the 'Route de Grande Alpes' - 650km through mountain roads fron Nice to Geneva. Has to be before late autumn and the first snows cos the highest passes get blocked off and do you really want a powerful rear drive car on twisty roads in the snow? I sure some would... ;)

I will be along now as well (Which means steve can blag a ride), as I've completed the marathon task of pulling everything out, welding the wastegate sleeve, fitting braided pipes, Unseized the downpipe :smash: , fitted the turbo gasket.. redid the turbo elbow gasket and refitted it all. Not an easy task. Trying to get the arc welder to weld the sleeve took about 1.5 hours !!!!! It just wasn't having it lol.
