Went to a Jap car parts scrappy today (on my crutches i might add) and this might sound weired but i find them so interesting and could spend hors there?!:)

Am i sad?!:D

One of the things that interests me is looking at the state that some of the cars have got themselves into, there was one S13 and two S14's in the yard (does this mean the S13 handles better?? start arguing..............................NOW!!:D ) AND just to worry me a bit it has to be said that these 200SX's looked pretty much the worst of the bunch (all three with side and front impact:eek:  ) one S14 was the worst it had obviously had some hefty side impact but also the front and rear were pretty caved in the passenger door seemed like the only bit that had survived!!!!

S14 boys beware and in this ****ty weather be careful, well everyone S13 aswell these twitchy bums can cause hefty damage!! :(

Anyway got a T28 tho!!!:D :D :D

I don't know the condition as yet cause it's still got everything bolted to it so i couldn't check the shaft but i got 30 day warrenty (how the hell you spell that???!) so could go back but............. it cost me............... a massive........................................... .................................................. ..........................£175 which i think is quite good?! It's from a P reg car thats apparently done 28,000 miles?!

Oh yea and when i sell the S14 manifold i'll prolly make £35 back!:D :D :D

Did this P reg still have its gearbox ?

And was it manual?

Thanks

There's a Jap Specialist yard (big) in Dewsbury. It might be where Chill was as there's one S13 and two mangled S14s just now.

http://www.multimap.co.uk/map/browse.cgi?client=public&GridE=424400&GridN=422700&coordsys=gb&db=ap&client=public&addr1=Dewsbury+Auto+Salvage,+Station+Yard,&addr2=Savile+Street&addr3=Dewsbury&maxrows=25&pc=WF132HB&startrow=0&coordsys=gb

Its closed Sundays and Asian holidays but well worth a visit (Open till 7 weekdays during summer but I think nearer 6pm now)

No, I don't have shares in it but consider it my own personal playground.

Cheerz Jon,

I may just have to have a wander up there some time. Although I live the other side of Huddersfield (slaithwaite) it aint that far.
I havnt had a proper dig round a scapyard in years :)
