Hello everyone

As you may know, Im kind of in charge of the cooking at JAE - Ive ordered up all of the food and will be doing an executive head chef bit (i.e. shouting at other people whilst drinking beer) :D

We have a fair amount of food ordered up, but theres a few extra bits that if people could help out with it would be appreciated.

First off we need charcoal - the HH alone needs around 7 bags to get it going and we'll need a decent supply for the weekend. Bring any half empty bags, or even pick up a bag on the way up - it would be appreciated :)

Additionally while we have ordered the food we havent got any rolls or bread, so if anyone can chip in with some again it would be handy.

Finally while we have a lot of food Im happy to cook anything else anyone brings up so feel free to bring anything you particularly fancy - Ive not cooked a lobster on a BBQ yet ;)

Thanks folks - see you on Friday :D

I'll pick up a couple of bags of charcoal when I fill the car up. If I see some bread type stuff I'll pick some up too.

Are you OK for cooler boxes and freezer blocks? I would have to take them back with me on Sunday morning though....

The more the merrier as regards cooling - weve got a couple of fridges but Id imagine the volume of meat is going to be on the large side :D

I'll bring my extra box and as many blocks as I can fit in the freezer then.

By the looks of this thread you're OK for tumbleweed too...

My car already has to carry a telly, three gazebos, tent, underwear and beer, so a trip to Peterborough Tesco will be needed for more charcoal and bread methinks.

The Jocks S13 coolbox will be needing a similar input for ice I suspect.

BUMP :D

Charcoal, rolls - hot dog and burgers style, cheese slices, sauces etc all appreciated. As Doc mentioned it takes about 7 bags just to get the BBQ fired up, so it needs a lot to keep it going too. All donations gratefully received :)

Looks like we may need a tow car as well. :wack:

Weve had a few problems with our tow car so if anyone going on friday that has a tow bar attached we'd be very grateful if a volunteer could be on standby if the back up plan doesnt work out. Petrol money will be paid for as its about a 60 mile round trip.:)

Drop me a PM before midday tomorrow if you can help, ta.

Jim has fixed his towing vehicle with blobs of marmite and silly string thanks to a wily cunning more akin to that of a fox.:wack:

Emergency over, move along, nothing to see here.:p
