Looking for a set of alloys but have heard that the lighter the better and the more expensive.

Any recommendations and the benifits of having them and the difference in weight?

My cossie had 354 hp(fly), I had ford 7spokes on it and they weighed a tonne. Then I bought some 17" OZ Superleggeras.

I can honestly say, the tseering was lighter, handles better, accelerated better and the wheels weighed 6.9kg each if i remember correctly. When I had them though they only had titanium gray colour but now the do them in silver too.

Hope this helps mate. a pic is attached of what the wheels looked like

Also the leggeras are (i think) the only wheel on the market to be the same price as a normal set of good branded alloys and wheigh 1/2 as much.

Got to be grey and 19s - but then I am a bit biased:D

depends what size you wanted mate, 17" or 18"

Personally I'd go with 18's for the simple reason that 17's look small due to the amount of wheel arch space on our cars. Id also get the Silver ones. They werent around when I bought mine, I paid £900 for them in 17's but they hadn't been out long at the time.

Greys nice.

Silvers brighter

17's are about £750 and

18's about £1200

Yeah was thinking silver made the wheels look bigger if I was to go for 17's.

Not sure if I want to stretch to 18's for cost reasons yeah they would look better I guess I could fill up the space with more rubber:)

Besides I don't want to have too hard a ride, I've got a brace and am going to uprate the springs. So I was considering 17's with 220 width with the above for handling and have 40 - 45 rubber to keep the ride quality.

Does this make any sense
