It's over a month away, surely you'll get it sorted before :whip:

lol, yeah, I'll get it sorted by then, but likely to still be paying for it  I'll see what I'm like after I've found a gearbox. It's looking like a £650+ fix though with fitting and a new clutch :(
If I can find a head I'd be up for this:nod:

surely you an s14 box will turn up on here for no more than 150 pounds and the clutch not sure of your spec but wouldnt be more than 300 pounds and there are always some local people:sxoc: more than willing to help out with the fitting of it all to save on labour charges so you should be able to get it all dont for about 450 pounds at most :)

 I've budgeted:
£150 G'box
£300 ACT organic clutch
£30 Fluids
.. and then £160 labour as it's not something I feel confident doing on my car (ask Algie, he had to help me with my ARBs for God sake, even then we still bolted the front in upside down! Doh" :D )

Alex, Parker and I were at the full GP session when it was cancelled due to the torrential rain, is it OK to use our credit on this event?
I'd drop alex an e-mail

Hi Juz,
Yes you can use your credit from the GP day but you will have to give us a call to book rather than doing it online.

I guess there's a noise limit?
I guess there's a noise limit?
I think there is, but they don't strictly enforce it - they didn't noise test anyone at the sxoc day, or the mg one that I did...

I don't know how loud the car is but if someone tells me there's no limit or it's not enforced then I'm in. 22nd is my birthday too :)

Unfortunately there is a noise limit of 105db and it is strictly enforced. Although we do not test everyone on an individual, static test, everyone is tested whilst out on circuit, we are just discreet about it ;)

Gotcha, ah well, might come down and spectate then guys.
EDIT: Thanks btw :)
Unless you can test kinda mid bend, when I haven't got the throttle wide open :D

Ooops - I stand corrected ;)
Dan - what exhaust do you have?
Daniel san

I have a GP Sport Spec Ti titanium but I also have a Blitz K3 450R turbo kit with ex w/g and screamer pipe
I'm guessing it's quite loud then ;) :wack:
Can't you get access to a dB meter to see if you'd be allowed on track?
Daniel san
27-07-2006, 12:02
Yes mate I used to install home cinema system going back a few years so have a SPL meter at home. It will pass 105db on tickover and probably at 4500rpm, but at WOT fookin forget it

Alex, if I came along but got black flagged for being too noisy, would I be able to go back out again on the understanding that I kept the loud pedal under 5/5.5k rpm?
I've just emailed alex, as online booking seems to have closed for this now - I've asked if places are still available, and what the situation is for you Dan :)

Hi Dan,
If your car is too loud we give you the opportunity to quieten it down - either by adding silencers or keeping it quieter by some other means. However, unfortunately if you are still to loud then we have to ask you to remain off circuit.
As a point to mention to anyone who is interested in doing trackdays in the future - I would suggest that noise limits at circuits across the country will be lowered over the coming years due to council restrictions.
Therefore, if you are thinking of doing trackdays - simply don't buy a noisy exhaust because the chances are, in a few years time, circuits in the middle of nowhere are the only places you'll be able to visit.:(
Thanks
Alex
Bum it is full :(
I hadn't got round to booking it
I shall have to do September the 4th now, anyone going to join me?
