Hi guys,
Melissa has asked me to say:
"Who is going to JAE (and what are you taking)?"
It's one of Melissa's last weekend's in Plymouth before she goes back to the states for a while, and wants to make the most of the weekend :nod:
If you need us to buy anything before we go (i.e a shopping list of food etc so we minimise waste and buying duplicate items). Melissa suggests putting cash together and doing a 'group buy' on food :D
1. Matthew + Melissa - Full Weekend.
2. Channie - Full Weekend (cos your going even if we have to pay for you :thumbs: )

Theres a huge Tesco's just down the road from the show ground, ill be gettin my food with the missis when i get up there i think mate.
Ill be at Gordano services at about 11 o clock on the friday, Goin up with alot of the UJC boys :)

Its what you make of it yourself that matters. The only thing that really annoyed me last year were the Scooby t0ssers and their all-hours flameout efforts. I've overcome that problem this year by staying in the Travel Inn :p

i couldnt think of anything worse, or more boring, to me, than everyone parking their cars up and wandering around looking at them. :ghey:

Mate! The last time I went to JAE (and I go every year) I spent 45 minutes looking at cars, about an hour looking at the trade stands and the remaing 60 hours either drunk, hung over or cooking.
Think of JAE as a massive p1ssup with like minded people who won't make "can we not talk about cars" comments.

I won't be joining any convoys. Meeting CSE (Grey S13 at last meet) in Taunton at 9am, driving straight there.

You could probably meet up with the UJC guys and Elvis at Gordano. I'm in a 2 car convoy, and get stressed when people get lost!

And as someone who enjoys a drink, but not to excess, I find I can have just as good a time without getting bladdered :) As you all grow up, you'll aquire this ability too... :p Getting a comfortable and quiet night's sleep is more important to me :nod: Plus a private shower and cooked breakfast and NO FECKING SCOOBY KN0BS. We'll see who's feeling better the folllowing morning :D :wave:

I'm trying to decide if it's possible to make the cheeky triffles more cheeky without ruining the taste....
I have all my camping stuff sorted, will have to do alcohol/food shopping at the big Tescos, as it won't fit in the 14 with all that other stuff....

Even when i went to Mini Meets for the weekend we spent more time having a laugh than looking at cars and chatting to peeps you didn't have a clue who they were :rolleyes: esp the lady variety :thumbs:

:no: Been pretty much of that mind since I was able to drink :) Its astonishing how much fun you can still have just having a few drinks. Plus you have the added bonus of remembering it AND all the money you save can go on useful things....like more mods.... :D

I was jus thinking back to JAE when it was at Billing... there was some pilock with an MR2 turbo who was pissed, wearing a kilt and was trying alnite to get his car to spit flames. We walked over to see what was goin on and he finally got a flame... my lighter made a bigger flame.
Is this the sort of bollocks that still goes on... coz if it is im gunna get well p'ed off... it ruined our playstaion session!
:nod: That's what I was on about with the Scooby tw@ts. Year before it was one of the Skyline clubs next to the SXOC stand. We were all praying someone would throw a rod or something...

If youve never been before then you have to go atleast once... but it is a complete show and shine event! As with most shows you always get your show discounts... but I still get my parts cheaper... which is why i find it so dangerous with my compulsive spending problems...
Its a great social event and you get to meet some really decent people... on the flip side you also get to see the dark side of the jap scene(the ones that give the whole thing a bad name).
All in all its a really good event purely for the social side of things... its a chance where i get to go and see loads of mates from back in the day... although most have all gone back to japan or hong kong now :cry:
I do love abit of show and shine, but recently (as people can see from the state of my car) im all about handling and performance at the mo...
If youve never been before then go... if youve got loads of money and spare time then go... if your a newbie then go coz your no better way of getting involved in the scene...
As for me... i wanna give it a miss this year... i was looking forward to it... but i have to put my sensible hat on and say theres only a 1% chance i will go! Maybe events later on in the year... but for now ive got just under £16k worth of debt to clear and a ticket to Hong Kong and Oz to pay for!!! :cry: :annoyed:

I have no quarms about you guys not going, just thought you lads were up for it before, so dissappointed really. My offer for paying for food etc still stands Andy. To be honest i'm performance before looks, but I bought an expensive car because i was finally fed up with mudane cars, and wanted a car I could be proud of for a change. If I can afford a wide body kit at some point then i gonna get it, cos i want a car that different to the rest. I'm definately not a show and shine guy with my own car cos you drive down the road and a seagull poops on it/road dirt etc. Gets annoying lol.

Ok it'ull probably cost adout 150 quid for fuel, food, entry and shit. But this is defo the best event of the year.:) I love it long time, from the convoy up there (obaying the speed limits of course:nod: ) to lookin around the show Mommouth! But most of all the high light of the wknd for me is having half a shandy and getting an early night, hey Nicely.:p

The point is I dont have any money... none... apart from £20 for Wednesday when i go out with Adam and K... After that i dont have any money till i sell my van, two rooms and a garage worth of car parts and other junk and then i get paid on the 31st...
