That's stupidly cheap

Steering rack bushes normally £39, TC bushes around £50 IIRC, front arm inner bushes normally about £40, that's nearly enough £130 without the rear bushes! :notworthy

Bren, I've got a pair of R34 GT-T aluminium rear uprights that I was going to fit with poly bushes and stick on my S14 (they need the Z32 lower mounts to work on the S14). You are welcome to borrow them if it helps with the development of the bushes.

I've already removed all bar one of the standard rubber bushes.

fitted rear bushes and most of front, just waiting for rain to stop and then will fit passenger side back in, then will take for a test run. all bushes went in no problems with the use of a bench vice, 2 on one of pairs of rear arms were a slight pain due to lips on bushes being slightly thicker, but other than that all went together well.

Hi Bren,
Are these all the bushes for the front + back?
Im guessing not, if not why were these particular bushes chosen?
Have you thought of offering maybe the whole front set and the whole back set, maybe as 2 different buys?

these are the whole of the front and back except

front - Steering rack bushes

Rear - Subframe bushes

Wolvreen
06-08-2006, 08:18
How long did it take you to fit them?
Is it fairly simple?

SWEBB
06-08-2006, 10:10
front bushes including arb bushes can be done in a few hours, hardest part is getting tie rod bushes out, lower arm bushes you can just burn out as shells need to stay in.

Rear bush set took a couple of days again hardest part was removing old bushes, it took about 3 hours to remove all arms and stub axle from car, then about 4 hours to remove all old bushes about an hour to fit new ones then a couple of hours to put back on car.

wouod be a lot quicker if there is more than just one person doing the job though:thumbs:

you'll need a socket set and couple of spanners, most are 17 and 19mm and a 36mm to undo drive shaft nuts (best to crack these loose whilst still on wheels) a lump hammer, blow torch, hacksaw, vice or press to put new bushes in.

the bush sets come with good instructions so you should be fine:thumbs:

Are you looking to be shipping them out before the end of October, as that's when my MOT is due? I'd imagine it'll fail with the bushes on there at the moment. If October is out of the question, could you ilet me know and I'll dig some out from somewhere else.

Hi Bren,

I currently only have replacement camber arms but was looking at buying tie rods, lower ball joints (NISMO) and tc arms to go with them. However, I know that I would still need some bushes for the rear that the camber arms have not replaced but that the Whiteline camber correction kit does (if you buy 1 kit per side which I was going to do).

My question is, how does your bush kit fit in with this? Does it make changing all these arms pointless? If you do change the arms, is there any reason to purchase this kit? Will it replace the bushes that the whiteline camber correction kit replaces?

Sorry for all the questions! :)

bren
27-09-2006, 09:58
We are taking orders for the kits now at £129. There is limited supply so be quick :)

Steev,

I dont believe Nismo sell ball joints, just complete arms with the joints prefitted and Nismo uprated bushes. We have them in stock at £195 the pair front and £195 the pair rear. If you go for these arms then you dont need uprated aftermarcket bushes for them as theyre prefitted with nismo items.

The front rose jointed tc arms also negate the need for replacement bushes and the rear toe, camber and traction rose jointed arms all have a rose joint at one end so you only need one replacement bush per arm rather than two.

Buying the arms sorts a number of bushes in one hit but there are still lots left that need addressing. I wouldnt buy a complete kit though, if you bear with me a few days then Ill see what prices the individual bushes come out at.

Ive just had the freight company on the phone. Due to BA being short staffed our freight guys are only allowed to send two or three pick ups a day rather than the usual 5 so they have a backlog or freight to collect.

The managers of all the freight companies that use BA are in talks with BAs MD blah blah blah etc etc etc

The bottom line is that the parts will be with us tommorrow not today :)

ok i am being very publicly stupid now but its dawned on me what a plank i may have been.......

earlier this year i brought a bush set from you bren, along with your complete rear arm set up, the bushes went it but only if i filled them dowen slightly:wack: at the time i had already burnt the old ones out so thought this would be ok, on the rear hub there appeared to be a metal insert or collar left behind that looked pressed into the holes where the bush sits, and the bush was the same diameter as this collar, should i have just pressed the bush in this collar? or are mine different to the s14 rear hub bushes?

if ive been silly i may need a price on a new set for the rear:wack:

forgive me for being a numb nut:annoyed:
