Trouble is, you got me at now. I think the tune i have in mind was called "The devil goes down to Georgia" or something like that. No idea who sung it though.

Phew!

For a moment I had visions of that Chris de Bleurgh track about playing chess with the Devil....:(

Oh God, need to restore some credibility!

"Titties and beer, titties and beer, titties and beer, titties and beer, titties and beer, titties and beer, titties and beer"etc.

:D:D:D

(Waddayamean you never heard any Zappa?)

Now you come to mention it, there is a song by Chris de Burgh about God and the Devil playing poker for the souls of a train accident. Don't know the title, but my missus has got the album (i didn't know that before i married her, i can tell you).

Oh aye, poker not chess....

In which case, there's one about chess somewhere in the past too!

Shades of Steve Vai (as the Devils representative) and erm................. Ralph Macchio, having a Guitar duel in the movie Crossroads.

Unfortunately I too remember "The Devil Went Down To Georgia"

Rather alarmingly, 'The Devil Went to Georgia' rings bells with me as well :( Too many Sundays spent listening to golden oldies on R1, methinks!

(Yes, and I know that ages me - 'cos R1 havent had a golden oldies pgm on Sunday afternoons for YEARS afaik! ;) :D )
