Thats the guy D bought his S13 from.

I had a weird email a while back. Twas from Debenhams thaking me for ordering a gift for some couple.

But the name on it was not from me !! but a friend would bought them a gift, and the mail had come to me, plus others in his address book!

Worrying for him if his mailed is being cc'ed without him knowing !!

I can confirm it was a virus. Anyone who picks up email via a sxoc.com email address will be fine, as we have a superb virus scanner on our mail system.

Anyone else though would be well advised to do a scan.

If you don't have a good virus software you can get a really good one for FREE , it is AVG and is from a software company called Grisoft. I have been using it for over two years and it stopped me falling for the infamous Snowwhite one.

To download it just visit www.grisoft.com

Did I mention that it scans everything for viruses and tells you everytime that there is an update to the virus database for you to down load.

I'm using another freeware Anti Virus prog called AVAST32 - recently rated as the best allegedly. Get it from www.webattack.com - It's done it's job well for me.

Anti virus software is only as good as the latest updates.

Using 3 packages, to protect against virus attack. Won't say which ones they are.... that's half the defence. But I'm glad we have it in place, quarantined 575 emails infected with Bugbear this week from outside sources.

Strange this thread cropping up. I've just paid for another year of Norton Antivirus and it still won't let me update the virus definitions. Think I'll try one of the free one's 'cos symantec tech support have been oh so helpful. NOT!! Just ring this number in Canada. Yeah right.

Try www.sophos.com I use them at work and home and it keeps the wee beasties away, they also email you everytime they have a new virus fix even if the virus hasnt been reported in the wild yet. you can get a fee vertion to try for a while. one of the main reasons I like it is that it is very resource friendly.
