Guys,

Some of you may be able to help.

I know someone who had a P Reg Primera SE 2.0 16v etc....

Was the engine an SR20DE? Are the Cams chain or belt driven? Because I know the SR20DET Cams are chain driven (cos you never have to have them changed, do you Dan ;) :D)

So by that reckoning, I reckon they must be Chain driven...

The reason I ask, was because when it was a Company Car, te Nissan dealer (Not naming it but one in Chelmsford ;) ) Changed the Cambelt (more importantly charged for it.)

He won't be contesting, no longer has the car, but this might make people more aware of these Nissan Dealers charging for unneccessary work.

Thanks for that,

So the robbing bast'ds at Chelmsford Nissan dealership are inventing impossible work orders.

Another reason to never trust a Nissan dealer.

Hah... never trust main dealers to get anything right

I remember when I used to have my lil' Metro Turbo, and I phoned up the local Rover main dealer to find out how much for a full proper main dealer service...

The *woman* on the phone advised me that I'd need their full 56,000 mile service with cambelt change...

I told her the A+ Series engine fitted to my wee beastie didn't have a cambelt, it had a timing chain...

At which point she said (like I was a total idiot) "Oh, I'll just put you through to our service department sir..."

The *man* who answered told me that I was correct but that it would still be £350, thankyou very much.

This was just before I hung up and informed them that I'd "get back to you"  :D
