Had to send an exhaust to a member here. Went to PF on Friday, they wanted £33 because it had to be there by Saturday. Their 24hr service would only get it there by Monday

So checked with reicipient that this was ok. It was as he needed it on Sat.

So checked it in at 12.30pm Friday, confirming that it would be there Saturday. "Yes sir, it will"

Guess what - it didn't ge there:mad:

Normal 24hr price was about £18, so i paid nearly double, and it still didn't ge there.

Anyone complained here before ?? I think i saw something in the office that said about refunds etc.

Annoyed.

I had a similar thing happen to me this weekend. I'd ordered traction control and asked for a saturday am delivery.

Anyway - I switch my mobile on only to find that they'd left a message saying they couldn't find my place. FFS all you have to do is stick the postcode into streetmap.co.uk or something and it shows exactly where I live. The vans have radio comms back to the head office so it wouldn't be that hard to do. I phoned up the courier company and they said "their drive has left the area" and wouldn't turn back. Lazy fockers - had to drive to basingstoke to pick it up and pay extra for the privilege .

Yes you can complain and with the Express (guaranteed) services I believe you can claim for a certain amount of consequential loss too.

(Justifiably) Annoyed.

Shame they spend so much money on clever adverts - should spend it on the bl00dy service instead.

I'm sure that they prefer to just leave the little notes.

I was messing around in the garage when my dump valve arrived.

I stuck my head out of the garage door to see the chap tiptoeing down the drive back towards his van with my parcel in his hand.

"sorry mate didn't think anybody was in!"

My garage door was wide open with the lights on and the bonnet of my car was up. Hmmmmmm:mad:

You should use UPS.

That fatbloke will sing 'hellooooooooooooooooo' if you're not there!

Yeah, right:rolleyes:

My flatmate went to Plymouth for the weekend and saw a car he wanted to buy.

He asked me to send down his spare key, log book and manuals so he could chop in his old car for the new one.

I went to the post office and paid about 6 quid for a 'gauranteed'
delivery.

Two days later it still hadn't turned up, my mate had to take two days holiday as he had signed the papers and agreed the finance but could take the car until the bits arrived.

He was told that he could have the 6 quid back as compensation:mad:

Well F**K me how generous is that? No wonder they're going bust!!!

Alg:)

Tried to complain when I tried to sort delivery of my alloys out. They didn't know whether they picked them up, they didn't know if they had the right pick up address, they didn't know where the wheels were if they did have them and they didn't know the delivery address  Couldn't really have gone more wrong

Eventually the 30-40 minutes you have to wait to speak to someone, combined with the stupidity of the people you speak to, meant I settled for getting my money back - which they seemed more than happy to do.

I imagine compaining with the hope of getting any compensation would be an excrutiating process :(

Its easy to claim fromm Parcel Force. Just go to the PO get a claim form and send it off. If you send something via a specified service, i.e. 48 hours, and it takes longer then you can claim the carriage back.

Be careful sending stuff with the standard service as its sh1t. Its not a tracked srvice, the compensations limited to £30 or something silly and its generally cr@p.

Special Delivery is usually an excellent serive and you can send upto 2 kilos for £6.45 or upto 10 kilos for £18.30ish. Guarenteed next day before noon and its usually a ery reliable service, I use it all the time for smaller packages (I use a courier for items over 2 kilo as its far cheaper for me) with no problems :)
