Lambo Track Day

Hey guys my girlfriend got me a track day to go round in a lambo murcielago :notworthy
was jus wondering if anyone been on one of these track days before?...what to expect??

Its gonna scare the sh1t out of you the first time you go round a corner twice as fast as you can in any 200.

The Lambo will be faster than anything else you probably will have been in but the brakes are immense. braking spots (at a guess) will probably be the same as a 200 round the same track but turning in will be a pain as they are heavy cars.

The gearchange will be slick (a massive improvement over older lambo's thanks to Audi's engineering) or slicker if you have the paddleshift.

Start off easy and gradually build up speed.

lol yea...i think they let u have a few pratice laps in a "hot hatch" as they call it either a cooper S or a WRX. I think they have evos there as well...would much prefer to warm up in one of them! i rate evos more than scoobys.

Try and copy the instrictors lines inch for inch all the way round.

They feel like very stable and controllable cars At high speeds (try 120mph into a corner at Gaydon).

I did one round silverstone in an Elise... Certainly no Lambo I know! I did manage to pass everyone else in my group of Elise's and cought up to a 355 but had to pull into the pits just before passing it cos my time was up! :cry:

It was all over too quickly, a few laps and your done, so if your going to build up speed think of how long your going to be in the car! Then nail it! :D Your instructor will tell you when you need to slow down in good time

i have been and done one of these days last year in a lamborghini gallardo and it absolutely rocked! :)
the day was brilliant allround and the instructors were fantastic.... shown the racing line in a focus rs with instructor at the wheel then given the chance to show the instructor you can drive...... once he's sure you aint gonna kill him/lambo (delete as applicable!) he then gives you the chance to scare yourself senseless and i had 5 laps of the track with the instructor telling me to push on.... i chased down and overtook another instructor in a porsche 996 turbo which was a massive ego trip! i did my day at prestwold hall and it was thru red letter days.... excellent! :D

i am going on a day in Lambo Gallardo the Murcielago in June! i liked it that much i got another!!!!! :cool:

so the laps in the car before the lambo...do u get to drive that as well before the lambo? or is it jus the instructor showing the right lines etc.

nah.. he takes you out for a couple of slow laps to show you the lines etc then you drive him for 3-4 laps in the hot hatch to show him you are not a liability! :)

nice...was hopin that i get a few laps in a another car to learn the track a bit before i go out in the lambo!

Right, so drive sensibly in the hot hatch so your allowed in the Lambo, then go mental. Got it :thumbs:
