Our Mimesweeper server detected a conversation about this post and I had to look at it.

Note that he said that the S2000 had 2 passengers. Ina a 2 seater ????

It was a modded 1.8T golf Gti... Ought to be about 200bhp for a chipped one with a good zorst? That sounds about right. Especially up a hill with the extra torque of a tubby if the S2000 was 2 up. I'd still rather have an S2000.

Why anyone would want to mod a warm hatch (I don't like calling the new Golf a hatch, as it's TOO DAMN BIG, and staggeringly heavy), I'll never know. It's just soooooooooooooo...

....ooooo boring, plain, dull, heavy, huge, unaerodynamic, fwd etc. :(

It's also the same engine as the Audi TT, which means we can all eat them for breakfast! :D

Found out, that the guy who posted, works for our New Jersey office and when questioned about the 2 passengers, started to um and err.....

Sure it's a decent enough car/engine if that's your cup of tea but they do seem to be a little carried away. I've not heard anyone on hear claim their car is the fastest object in the known universe FFS :rolleyes:

Being fair, the guy did claim a sub 15 std 1/4, but all the same, that hardly puts it into the league of a fast Mustang.
