I find the position very comfortable now that I sit more upright. (Though my dad still says it feels like lying down whenever he sits in the drivers seat).

What I found to be a pain (literally) was my right foot after 2 or three hours behind the wheel. Aches like hell, even when I've had the cruise on on the motorway.

Know how you feel Cainy. I have similar problems, back not to
bad, but legs tend to feel a bit numb after 1 1/2 to 2 hours driving, and find myself fidgiting around trying to get comfortable.

Did wonder if the seat was getting a bit knackered, but came to
the conclusion thats its more likely me thats getting knackered
due to age :(

The standard seats are truly fecking awful, I had the same problem as you guys. Used to find myself wriggling around trying to get comfortable so I've just fitted Sparco Evo 2's. I've had the car for 6 years and now its actually comfortable :D

The worst thing (or best thing) is that now I don't slide around the seat when cornering I find myself going much quicker around corners ;)

LOL :D :D
The ranger is only a 2 seater aaron, but stuff still happens.
Made the mistake of going over bumps to quick - banged head
on roof, finished up with sore head and back

Mine's only the poor mans single cab version, but
same effect - can imagine its worse in a twin cab:D

another interesting effect I've noticed is the tendancy
for the rear brakes to lock up even under gentle
braking. Scares the sh1t out of pedestrians :D

I heard the way to find the best seat rake possition was to get your legs sorted and then set the seat so your wrists can touch the rim of the wheel. Give it a try it might help your back.

Alternatively splash out a grand on a couple of top notch Recaros:D

 i wonder if a leather 300zx interior would fit into a s14a :( they must be bigger seats and i think they move positions electrically :D

You all need a Starion...
5 hours straight and fresh as a daisy at the end of it...

And yes, I know I am younger than a lot of you, but I've got a double S bend side-side in my spine and it curves front-back too. Plus I have dry spinal joints... The moral of the story is... out of all the cars I have ever driven, the Starion is the only one that I can be in for more than 2 hours with no problems whatsoever :D

IMHO I think what's missing is thigh support, my mate's Vectra GSI has recaros with adjustable thigh support (so does the bird's Almera come to think about it) and it makes a hell of a difference.
