My mate rang me up and told me that on the local radio station news there was an announcment that in an effort to curb illegal cruises and street racing there is going to be something set up at Weybridge airfield,Surrey. Apparently it`s on tonight(saturday 4th october) anyone else heard anything about this?
could be quite cool sort of like a skate park being built for skaters to stop them skating around town:)

I actually do agree something needs to be done to curb these inner city cruise/races. Where I live, idiots (usually the 1.0 but ive put a bodykit on it brigade) drive around a retail park at speeds of up to 100mph in 30mph zone! I've nothing against meet ups, but that speed on inner city roads is just madness esp with the cinema near by with young children etc ...however, for the cost of a bit of tarmac on some designated outer site they can do as much racing etc... without risking anybody elses life. But no what do they do? Buy several speed cameras to catch someone doing 31mph in a 30....

Why don't they realise that it is a problem that requires a solution instead of constantly trying to 'firefight' it???

i reckon that would probably be a better place for the g/ford cruise to go then when all the arses want to kill them selves theres lots of room to watch and at least its of the main roads:rolleyes:
