Just back from a blinding 3 weeks touring Italy with the Mrs in the 200. Great scenery (especially touring the Ferrari factory), great food, a few worthy roadkills and fantastic weather. Talked my way out of a fine for doing 140mph on the Autostrada ;) and diced with death, trying to negotiate Milan and its population of fifty million Fiat Pandas.

Drop the Mrs off in France last night and drive back to blighty this morning and what do I find?

1 1/2 hours jam on the M25 and 2 hours to get across Birmingham on the M6 :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: Drove over 3000 mils on me hols and not a single traffic snarl up.

What's wrong with this country :confused: :confused: :mad: :(

They are all queuing to see my immensely gorgous car - couldn't you tell from the "BIG S, WE ADORE YOU" banners everywhere???

Great to hear you had a fab time mate :)

the M25 is the car park for people to leave their car to avoid paying congestion charges in london :D

Reading Bill Bryson book while he's travel in Oz and he reckons there are 300 ish people per square mile in Britain, 70 ish in USA and 30 ish in Oz. :eek: (Don't quote me tho, they are rough figures as far as i remember)

Which is a shame really cos from what i can tell 90% of the population are a bunch of w@nkers! :D ;)

Wasn't it Screaming Lord Such who wanted to carpet the M25 so that drivers caught up in jams would have somewhere comfortable to rest their feet?

Something like that anyway if I remember right.

Arrived back at work this morning just in time for a 4 hour computer shutdown cos one of the tw@ts who works for me managed to put a virus on the system. Bloody great! What confidence that inspires in our customers when we who make some of our money getting rid of viruses for others get caught out cos one of our senior bods "didn't realise it was on the disk" :rolleyes: :eek: :mad:

I think I need another holiday :D

I've lived in the South for too long and sympathise with these feelings... BUT


Everytime I go home to Lincolnshire and get on those wonderful roads I remember what it is I love about England.

Ahh, was up in Lincolnshire on Tue/Wed - quality roads. Shame I was in the Golf :( Didn't stop me getting it sideways though :D:D
