View Full Version : autotests
just been at an autotest today, very cool
Apparently its a very good base for motor sports as you learn car control at a safe speed. :smash:
anyone here into it?
....took a wee vid of a stryker on my phone, hope it works :D

Which are the best cars to use for this sport, scrabblers, or tail-waggers?

proper autotest'ers use fwd machines, custom modified mini's and the like. There are usually fwd and rwd classes anyway - so it's more fun in a rwd! :)
you'll need a decent lsd to be competitive though. a viscous one just gets hot and becomes open.
Where's the best place to get event listings for auto tests?
I wouldn't mind spectating a good semi local event.
Anyone fancy that?

I'd never be competitive, I'm incompetant
yea they were mostly mini's and mini specials (a mini with the body cut off and replaced with a fibreglass side panel and rear wheel arch :wack: )
aparently it gets quite expensive as they are buying 1st and revewrse gears and drive shafts every week :)
i found a few events:
