hello bren,
i bought the 310mm brake kit off you last year and now, finally, my car has to be approved by the :ghey: german TÜV.
one of the problems will be the brakes...
i´m not sure if i asked you this before but could you please provide me with some kind of spec-sheet of the materials used for the adaptor and disk/rotor?
some kind of certificate of quality or whatever?
it´s just so that the TÜV-guy can refer to something...
would be great to get the car to a "legal" state :wack:
thanks
dennis
If you tell me exactly what you want me to type then I will sort it for you :)

what they´ll ask for in writing will probably be:
material used for the adaptor and what it´s rated to.
material and rating for the bells
(maybe it´d be easier to find out what size/ wheight car the discs and bells are made for)
what quality bolts are used
that the kit is designed to fit nissan 200sx s14
to fit standard 16" wheels
if any testing has been carried out...
think something in writing stating the quality of the kit and the testing/experience that has gone into it would help a lot.
german tüv is a real pain...
there could certainly be a much bigger market for your parts over here if that problem wasnt there... especially brakes, coilovers and carbon bonnets i´d say...
thanks for the help
Im getting the info for you :)

hello mate
any news on this already?
just been told that the tüv-person will have a look at the car on thursday.
any chance you could draw something up till then?
thanks
dennis
The suppliers havent sent anything yet, Ill chase them now.
All bolts used are high tensile and have a grade of 12.9. This is an alloy steel material that is stronger than stainless.
Nuts used on the Bell to Rotor fastening kit are Philidas nuts designed to lock on the threads as they tighten.
The grade of aluminium used for the bells and brackets is 6082 (High grade engineering aluminium). All holes tapped into brackets are done to a depth of at least 1.5 x thread diameter for strength.

little update:
the first TÜVtester did not approve the brakes as he didnt have german certificates
for them and didnt care about how well they perform... :ghey:
today i went to a place where about everything is possible :wack:
they charged silly money but didnt even want to know what material
was used as long as it didnt look as if it was a bad diy-job.
the approval is vehicel specific unfortunately but obviously there is the chance
to use these brakes without constant fear of getting busted by some cop...
Ok, as long as you got it sorted?
