Here you go then, for those of you who don't poke your noses into Driftworks media section, my pics from Drift UK's round 2 up at Teesside, North Yorkshire. That was a cracking track and there was some kick ass drifting out there too.

:worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy:

This track is now my favourite for taking pics, surpasses even Lydd, and Haynes. Plenty of scope to get nice and close to the action, the stewards there didn't give me any bother. The course wasn't especially long, but what there was tended to have quite photogenic potential.

It was an excellent day there (despite getting sunburnt  ) and I thouroughly reccomend people getting over there for round 5. There might even be a winter season held up there, the guy that owns the site was so impressed with the whole drift thing

There are more shots from the impressive twin drifting hwich I've not sifted through properly yet

Is that a definate Martin? Still says Haynes on the Eurodrift site.

Bit of a bitch if it is, Im only likely to make 2 rounds out of the 6.:(

I think the state of play regarding Haynes at the minute is that the owners are worried that holding drift events there may adversly effect a decision for granting of a council license for entended use of that track. Once they get that license things may change, so there may be hope for the future, Haynes will be a great venue too.

The guy at Teesside, by all accounts was very impressed with the day and Terry made a statement at the event that round 5 was going to be held there. So yes I think so, but we'll have to wait for a definate confirmation from Terry.

Anyway Steve, look on the bight side, if you only attend 2 events then that's only 2 occasions where you have to suffer the public humilition of sucking at drifting :D :p only kidding :notworthy

Although Teeside is a major trek from where you are Steve, you can drive up the day before and get to have an evening session on the track followed by the actual event the next day, the evening session is included in the price. And Knockhill whilst almost as far away as the moon, is I think a weekend event with 2 days of drifting.

I'm sure you can get 7.5 tonne flat bed trucks which would take 2 cars on the back plus a third on a spectacle frame - wander how much one would cost to hire for a weekend?
