I recon this is a 3 spanner job on the Haynes scale :) You will require:-

1x Z32 AFM
1x Z32 AFM Plug

1x Kettle (+water +power for kettle)
1x Bowl (for water from kettle, as I do not advise putting car parts in your regular kitchen kettle)
1x Soldering iron or other means of joining wires (I used spade connectors)

As previous stated on a number of posts it is possible to get the Z32 AFM into the stock inlet pipe, although removing it from the car is a must as far as I'm concerned. Its by no means easy to stretch the pipe over the wider end on the z32 AFM.

1) Remove pipe from the car.
2) Remove jubilee from the AFM end of the pipe.
3) Boil kettle & pour water in to bowl.
4) Leave AFM end of pipe in the bowl of boiling water for a short period, 20 seconds should be adequate.
5) Slide pipe over the Z32 AFM using blood sweat and tears
6) Work pipe down so it is nicely seated on the Z32 AFM and refit jubilee.

You should be left with something like this (pictured without jubilee clip refitted):-

Use the labelling system on the Z32 AFM (A-F) and use the following information:

A - no connection
B - Black with green stripe on S13 loom
C - No connection
D - Black on S13 loom
E - Black with white stripe on S13 loom
F - No connection

Any connection method can be used to wire this up, I decided to cut off the std s13 plug and use spade connectors to connect the wires to the wries from the z32 plug:-

Here's a couple of pics of the final product on my car, I'm currently using a super strength coat hanger to mount my AFM and filter but feel free to use a different/better method.

Also I used a filter adaptor to mount the CA18DET style K&N air filter to the z32 AFM but a z32 cone filter can be used as an alternative. Adaptor shown here:-

I recon this is a 3 spanner job on the Haynes scale :) You will require:-

1x Z32 AFM Plug

If you don't get the plug, you can use a pre-facelift S13 one with the sides hacksawed off; thusly :)

just note:
there are some versions of z32 AFM´s that required connect pin C to chassis ground (probably with combination of some kind of ECU). Specially if you buy AFM from USA or Australia, take cate about pin C. you can connect it to chassis anyway.....

I'd like to add that looking at the wiring diagrams for the Z32, pin C is originally connected to the engine for grounding (not the chassis), so perhaps anyone experiencing noise issues could try this (take a new piece of wire from pin C to any bolt on the engine plenum/block).
