Anyone know best place to get a cheap laptop....

....was originally getting one from work but left (1yr Uni placement) before they were all replaced. Needs to be able run Office apps and have a USB. Don't wanna pay much....me is VERY poor stoodent!!! :(

well i got my laptop, worth 1500 for 756 +vat.. i got the vat back from it too... so i saved a fair amount of cash...

i got that from staples.. it was a customer return... the problem? it didnt have microsoft software installed... that was it... ive still got it now... and if i sell it i will still make a profit lol.

try staples... or a computer fair... pc world get customer returns but they have a habit of re-boxing them and selling as new, so i wouldnt go there.

Quite good that, where are they from? Though it is a bit more than I want pay (jobless at the moment :( and entering my final year in 2 weeks!) I'm looking on Ebay at the moment, some quite good ones on there too circa 200 quid mark.

It's just a thought really, I asked a while ago if there were any cheap laptops but work said they were changing all the sales reps ones so I was going get one of those for just a few quid, however, i left before they were changed. I'm not certain I want one, just having a look - see what is around.

the company is trade-only and i'm er in the trade... so pretend i'm an e-Bren :) do you want me to see if the company has something around your budget all inclusive?

I can get pretty good desktops for about £150 if you're interested?

Leave it for the time being mate, (dont wanna promise anything just yet) but i know who to ask when the time comes....need to get a part-time job sorted first. :)
