Bolougne is a shit hole, just pray that your return ferry isn't delayed!!

Bleu Nord is basically a field next to a car park, not being funny but its one of the crappiest campsites (not that it really matters)... You'll find there's plenty of hooning around in Bleu, especially on the Sunday night, which is a good laugh.

Ben, have we got a sticky thread somewhere for all those that are attending this year?
Or could we make one?

Tip city here: http://www.beermountain.com

Try and get someone to reserve you some camping space, as Thursday evening is leaving it a little late. Only other thing to say is get down to Arnage on Friday for the Pistonheads meet.

Colwell - Most of the best campsites have long since sold out. Our group left it a little late this year and ordered our camping tickets in September.

From what I've heard there are still some available for Beausjour (sp), which from experience is fairly good but away from the action. They usually have a batch on sale on the day for this campsite.

Otherwise just phone around and see what agents have left or hit Pistonheads. You can also find camping tickets on ebay but you tend to pay a lot more.

PM me if need be :)

Arnage village is usually a good laugh on the Friday evening/night but last year it was crawling with gun totting georndames

Dont fcuk with them, there bar stewards  they put barriers up last year to keep everyone back

watch your speed if your going to get your ferry home on the Sunday night, the roadside is littered with coppers

apart from that have a good one :)

I'll be in Becausejour again

its about 2 miles from the main grandstands so its a long walk  but last year they had a free bus every 5 minutes going up to the circuit :smitten:

its a bit late now but if you join the A.C.O you get discounted circuit and camping tickets for 2007, access to there tent with TV monitors and bar and free breakdown cover in Europe for a full year IIRC

I loved the sound of the Lambo myself and it flamed on the overrun soo much! Shame it retired so near to the end :(

I saw 2 S14A's on Houx roundabout on Friday, one did a pretty convincing rolling burnout/drift. One had R32 GTR rims (I think) and the other had gunmetal Rota's. I was also let out of Maison Blanche camp site by a blue S14A

I had a fantastic time, there is no better motoring event.

Anybody see me in the back of the F150 Lightning on Friday night?

docwra
21-06-2006, 10:01
We had an absolute blinding weekend - I think some of the secret is a good set up and we had a giant gazebo, a generator, fridge, cooking range, gas barbie and the biggest flag of any camper we saw :D :D

Race was cool, weather was great but the genny breaking down on Saturday morning kinda scuppered meeting anyone as my phone battery died and I couldnt charge it

Loved the V8's and agree that the Lambo sounded the best although there was something very cool about the way you could hear the air move on the Audis :notworthy

Definitely going down next year a bit more mob handed and with a totally foolproof way of keeping beer cold (although we did get ice on the last day) :)

Anybody see me in the back of the F150 Lightning on Friday night?

I saw the Lightning I think but IIRC it was parked up when I did :(

Met up with Dubster in his beauty S13, and saw a dark coloured S14 also on Karting Nord, but didnt see much other 200 action while we were there. We did see a Maserati LM, an XJ220 and a Lancia Stratos though so I was quite happy :D :D

Thought the burnouts etc. being done in Arnage were pretty weaksauce - Im taking a 200 next year to show them how its done :D

I got back yesterday afternoon, had an amazing time...will definatley be returning :)

Was great to meet Docwra  ...(and drink his beer :p ) Top bloke...

I saw 3 white S13s in Arnage (much to my dissapointment :D ) and 3 s14s. One of them I think was cloudy but he was moving at the time so couldnt say hello, one was Dans14a? and dont know who the other was....Saw some amazing cars and racing and cant wait 'till next year....

only 360 days to go..... ;)

I didn't get to see much of Arnage in the end, I woke up late with a hangover and half and needed to breakfast. I drove through Arnage then stopped in town got something to eat and then tried to come back only for the Gendarme to block the road:rant:

Had a good time and got loads of photo's :)

I've got some footage of the standing starts at Arnage. Just got to edit them a bit and get them hosted somewhere:) Plenty of photos from there too.

Remember seeing the XJ220 at the chunnel terminal. Wish I had got closer, but parked near two Moslers and a carrera gt though so wasn't too upset!
Met up with JeffersS13 and went to the Charlatans concert too - excellent stuff, certainly made up for not going to the funfair this year:)

Saw Chris's S13 on the roundabout too, with and without sunroof lol ;)

We missed the concert and the funfair wasnt all that - they did have a quality gravity machine type thing that my brother kept going on though. Bleeding phone was annoying - I had about 5 people to meet but couldnt get hold of anyone :(

I had a fantastic time, there is no better motoring event.

Anybody see me in the back of the F150 Lightning on Friday night?

Yup, that was us. I was in the back drinking lager :wack:

We did a burnout run on the road outside MB and a big old one on the roundabout:

some great pics posted, i'll have to get some of mine up, had a great week, met up with Neil A, shame i didnt find anyone else, i spent to much time lounging, drinking and watching the race!! ended up with a couple of adventures, one of which ended up with four of us breaking into a french guys back garden... ...whilst he was in it!!! Also ended up walking most of the track again on the tuesday whilst the cars were coming and going for the scrutineering! didnt even get sunburnt this year, which was a major bonus!! we also let off some killer fireworks(one of which was called the 'imperial warlord' !!! ), which were just insane! the only sad point of the whole trip was coming across a completely burnt out mk2 vw camper on the a28(?) just after rouen:( - did anyone else see it/see if the guys who were in it were ok?

we were in the traffic jam caused by said camper....very sad indeed...the guys in the camper were ok and they did manage to get their bags out but not much else....seems the heat that day was too much for a lot of cars, let alone an air cooled....the bus was gutted. R.I.P :(
