my car wouldnt start this morning and after much head scratching i called the RAC who stayed for 2 hours! anyway, they didnt solve the problem but they did raise a few things to help narrow down finding the fault.

the fuel pump primes
fuel is going through the FPR
the injectors have live but no switch (whatever that means)
there is no fuel getting into the cylinders
the sparkys are sparking, but not very well, dull spark


so im left with my car (only had it 2 days :cry: ) which isnt working

so i turn to the SXOC for help :)

can any of you SW guys give me a hand in getting her started. im really skint after buying her so cant offer any money, BUT im sure i could stretch to a pint or 2 and food on tap :thumbs:

This Johnny's old one? Could it be the nats system? As the plugs aren't sparking very well have you tried cleaning the lugs or jump starting it?

i think its more possibly the RLTC playing up, i think i must of disturbed something when i put my stereo in :(

Does the TC have a fuse or a kill switch somewhere to disable it?

ive checked the grounding point and the fuse on the live wire and there both ok. ive not found a kill switch.

apparently if the RLTC isnt turned on it cuts the injectors (as if the wheels were permenantly slipping) all the time, which would mean the car would stop immidiatly, or if not started, it wqouldnt start, so im almost 100% sure its that.
