Been asked by mate of FinL for any ideas on a rolling road to set up a car...

It's a cobra replica that last time on RR acheived 460bhp! (alledgedly etc)

I had already mentioned how good SCA were, but don't know what their RR power limit is - and whether they would be any good at a yank V8 with a holley carb...

Any suggestion for anywhere else? pref in the Midlands-ish area?

Cheers, Phil

A mate of mine just dynoed a 680bhp/720lb ft big block chevvy, I'll ring him tonight and find out where. It was in the south east though, sorry.

EDIT - It was on an engine dyno, before the engine went in the car so not much use to you. It was a Ford engine as well. Or was it a Lemming and Bovril sandwich? I forget . . . turns out the entire thing was completely made of rubber . . . AAH - INDIANS!

I was under the impression that SCA could do up to 550bhp or something (but dont take my word for it!!!) If it could cope with the awesome power of my swift then it'll cope with the mere Cobra replica :D

Thanks for the responses...

Gary: without being insulting - honestly how are you lot at setting up Yank V8s with a big holley, and I assume, clockwork ignition?

It has been on RR before but think he has tried a couple of mods since.

If you fancy it, I shall attempt to send him your way...

NO INSULT TAKEN,THE ONLY V8 I HAVE DONE WAS IN MUSTANG BUT ALL I HAD TO DO WAS ADVANCE IGNITION UP,DIDNT TOUCH HOLLEY BUT DID CHECK FUELING.HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY ARE VERY EASY TO REJET IF YOU CAN GET JETS!!!
