View Full Version : MK3 N/A Supra?
My friend just got one with 12 months MOT and not a massive amount of miles for...
£75 :D
Thinking of getting on a couple of track days for some cheap track day abuse!!
Any idea's what it would be like??
Cheers, Sam

a boat? :D
I friend has a turbo version and although quick you could tell it was quite heavy. Still, for £75 - BARGAIN!
(Don't mention this to the feller selling one in the For Sale section for £1500 odd though!)

I had a MK3 NA (and a turbo), very heavy but loads of torque - would pull strong from 30 in 4th!
Although its a big heavy car, handling on mine was suprisingly good, it took alot of clutch abuse before the back end would go but I think even with barrel loads of torque and 200bhp as standard it would struggle to compete with lighter fast cars like starions, S13, etc...
I was considering putting my old MK3 turbo on the track but decided against it as it needed a lot of work doing. If your mates got one and its all healthy then you might as well give it a go. You cant go wrong for £75.
What happened is a guy came in to his garage to get some work done, then he refused to pay the £75 bill at the end of it, signed the log book over and now my friend has the car for £75 that he payed to his boss
Only thing wrong with it is the brakes are crap and a little bit of rot on the rear arches!!
Might see if we can stiffen it up without spending to much money on it!!
He stuck a turbo on a 1.6 Primera estate he had which was comedy and im trying to pursuade him to do the same to this with a the turbo off the primera which has just blown up!! Hes wont though :wack:
Might bring it to Elvington on the 18th and see how it does

I don't know how feasible that would be, the ecu's are completely different (I found out cos I was going to transfer my 3.0turbo + ecu's etc.. into my na supra with the manual box).
The na mk3 is about 200bhp and the turbo is only 242bhp as standard IIRC so not a lot in it but obviously a turbo lends itself to easier power hikes.
If your mate wants a turbo I've got a complete car with a good 87k turbo engine he can have for £50 if he wants it.:Plug: (car is rotten as a pear but engine, ecu etc... is good)

Yeah no probs, I stuck it on the supra forum a couple of weeks ago for £100, but you can have it for £50 if you can take it away. Details here. (http://www.forum.mkiiisupra.net/showthread.php?t=10427) Mileage is 77k not 87k as I said earlier.
