Gents

Am getting closer to organising this stag do for my mate. Looks like we'll be booking with Mountain Mayhem for a weekend, and spending the Saturday night in Newport. Am assuming that we would find suitable mischief for a stag do there. Any good suggestions for where to head to?

hmm... can't be that bad, surely?

Abergavenny/Hereford are the other options within striking distance of where we'll be staying, but I suspect there won't be much to do in either of those?

Best place to go in Newport is the train station

Cardiff is closer to Newport than either Hereford or Abergavenny. Would be your best bet I think.

way iv seen it out on the piss in cardiff and swansea.cardiff is ok but if you want a really good time go to swansea people are mutch nicer down that way,as for newport i used to work on security down there would advise againsed it unless you know people there.

certainly am, and it is giving me food for thought. We are staying in a place which is 10 mins from Abergavenny, 30 mins from Hereford, 35 mins from Newport, or an hour from Cardiff...

Going on the advice here, we would be better to rethink the whole thing :(

newport isnt that bad compared to other places i have seen. yeah its full of townie punks who like to think they can take on the world :smash: but it has calmed down a bit recently.

when are you thinking of going on a night out?? if you wait till a sunday and go to clubnite its 3-4-1:thumbs:

It'll be a sat night. Stag do is 5-7 May, and there'll be about 15 of us, most of whom play rugby. Reckon we'd get trouble?

15 english rugby players on the piss in the arsehole of south wales

the only thing i can't predict is the start time of round one

It's not so much the money... more the sitting in a cab for an hour each way...
