Just replied to that thread. Am going up to Sheffield that Sunday (for staff training on the Monday) anyway so no problem going further up the M'way.
Is anyone driving up from Bristol on the day? I still won't be able to drive then

Another £200 voucher up for grabs, and I'll not enter this time, I didnt expect to be second in the final last time and tbh, would be wrong to whip your ass and win the prize in a comp I'm running :wack:
Got me thinking, might go... fooking long way though! We gonna get a convoy going??
Whats the quickest way to get to Brens/Bradford from Bristol?
AA route planner says m5, m6, m62 is best at 4hours&24mins!
What about via Leicester and up the m1?
AA thinks that it will take 5hours&5mins that way, but it says it takes 2hours 52mins just to get to Leicester and my personal best was 1hour 30mins - going steady its prob just over 2 hours tops.
I used to drive from Bath>Leeds on a regular basis (Uni) - I'd say it'll take 3 1/2 - 4 hours :)

The quickest way from bristol is m5 / m42/a42/ m1/m62,
or m5/ m6/ m62/m60 then m62 to bradford , it takes between 2hrs 30min to 3hrs 3omins depending on wat time of day u go , best time is early morn or bout 10am ish wen every1 is in work
i want to go! i dont really want to drive, but if my diesel costs are covered, i s'pose i could be tempted into taking the pug :D
there will be a spare seat if you want a lift rob?
and probably 3 more after that ;)

I like the way you say that as though I wasn't nearly 20 seconds clear of the field last time :wack: :p
I'll be entering again - the 200 needs some new front discs! :smash:
May be in trouble this time though as havn't played it really since the last meet

I'd be up for it marc, if we got four into your pug and split the diesel cost it'd be pretty cheap :)

200 miles each way, so 400 miles, at 50mpg is 8 gallons
90p/l*4.5 = £4.05 a gallon so the trip will cost is £32.40 :D
dont you love diesels

Hmm, think I may be spending more than that somehow :wack:
Not going in the back of someones car for that trip though, having done it before it's comfort or nothing for me :smash:
Can meet you guys to convoy though if you'll be travelling slow enough?
(won't exceed 70 as I'll need to stop for fuel if I do :wack: )

If you feel like letting me tag along in your car Tim, we can split the fuel bill again?

Could do Tom, Pete wants to show off his finished car so is most likely taking that
Anyone would think this is a 200 meet :p

Sssh, don't tell anyone that it's supposed to be finished, that's what makes stuff go wrong! :smash:

As long as I actually remember (and the car survives the trip :smash: ) I'll have shite loads of bootspace so can collect if you like
Don't know if you want to PM Bren to inform him so he doesn't think I'm simply robbing you :wack:
Thanks Full Metal:thumbs:

The car had better survive if I'm to go with you. I don't fancy walking back from Bradford. :wack:
I should be going, gotta sort a few things out on the car this week first tho
:)
theres a couple of my lot going too  we could meet at the services at the end of the m50 and as i am taking my primera we could compete for biggest non 200 convoy prize :wack:

Yup, I'll be in the (probably dirty) 200
Can't remember if I've met you or not (probably have but my memory is crap) ask the other locals if we havn't met and they'll point me out :)
Tom, we'll be fine as long as there arn't any long tailbacks on uphill bits...... The 2l's don't like sitting in traffic and I think my fan has recently disabled itself :wack: :whip:
Otherwise our only worry is just having a tape deck style radio to entertain us unless I can stretch to a cd player before then - I'm payed the Friday before we leave so we'll see :smash:
ill be taking the pug so does anybody want a lift?

 please, if Mike's going I'll probably jump in his since I'm not out of the way for him. Can always swap into yours later on when we meet up with the Welshies if you're on your todd.
Hmm...it seems the wife is working this weekend, so I could potentially make the trip. It's a long long way though, and about £75 worth of fuel...
I'm not gonna make this I don't think, no money spare this or next month for such frivolities :(
So what time are we meeting?

Well, I've just asked Welsh Chris if we could all meet at Strensham services on the M5 at 7.30-8.00am. Should work ok, I think, but we'll see what he says.

Um, about an hour and 10 maybe from Cardiff at normal speeds, I'd say.
What time did Nick pick you up last time?

It's the only gauge I have as I have no idea how long it would take from either Swansea or Merthyr. I was hoping you'd then have a good idea, like.. :wack:
