My Uncle has a Primera (M reg I think) and his ABS light permanently stays on, does anyone have a rough idea why it would do this?

ABS system knackered, brake fluid low or pads worn at a guess. Some cars show these things seperately and some combine into 1 light.

Or an electronic gremlin making the light stay on and there's actually no real problem

There will come a time when cars will just come with just 1 general 'problem' light on the dash where a visit to a dealer will be required who try to solve the problem....

LOL my wife owned a Lada when I met her and this was almost exactly the system it emplyed i.e. a big fookin' light in the middle of the dash which said STOP in huge red letters when summink was up :D :D :D

It's none too subtle warning didn't stop her running out of brake fluid however

thats not just a Lada thing, my 205 has one too.
although this only comes on for VERY serious problems (and upon starting the car with all the others) its only ever been on once since ive had mine and i shat a brick when it did :(
i hope i never have to see it again :p

Had that on my Honda

it was the back sensor and would have cost £180 to replace.

Sold honda and said don't worry brakes are fine it's just a sensor playing up.

My bike's well cleaver....

It tells me as soon as I turn the key, exactly whats wrong by moving the rev guage to different revs to indicate what the problem is:o

Unfortunately it hasn't got a setting that works out that the guy riding it is a fool :D:D:D:D:D:D
