garages- taunton area

hi, any one know of any good garages around the taunton area? not really sure who to trust, had last lot of work done at K n R, any one had any other dealings with them?

I'm in Exeter and would be very interested in this thread.

I took my car up to Wincanton Motors in err....Wincanton as it happens. Specialists. Went in for Lambda issues, but they also advised new turbo req'd. I'm a novice and had to take them at their word. V.v big bill.

Got car home to find air filter not screwed down and a couple of other little issues. That said car running well.

Give them a call? Not far from you (an hour from Exeter) and specialists, or wait and see if anyone else got an experience of them. I'll admit to not being sure. Did car need new turbo? I don't know! Shame to sceptical? Why wasn't job properly finished off? Hmmm. But car running well at the mo. and this was a yr back now.

F8ck it, mate I just don't know!!!! Anyone with experience of them please recount it.

Hey if your other in exeter, have a speak to Ross at Dragon Performance. www.dragonperformance.co.uk . Yes i know they only advertise stuff for FDs, but they do take on cars with normal easy to manage engines! I used to use them for my FD and i always saw Liners there. If not then he'll be happy to give you some names of decent garages around these parts. Failing that if you can get over to Plymouth you can take it to AP motors, nice guys and open late if you need to pick up parts or your car after hours! 8:30am - 6:00pm mon to fri, then in the evening 7ish pm - 11:00pm

is that the place behind all the car dealers to one side of the fly over? if so i've heard good things, aparently good with the old nissans? not been there myself as i'm off to norwich! gonna be a long trip!

Yep thats the place, i know the owner used to have a skyline till he got fed up of it getting keyed etc. and its where i picked up my 200 from.

I'm sure there was a chap at the Exeter meet who said he had a Garage in Taunton......he also mentioned he used to have a Skyline......blowed if i can remember his handle on here though.

i live about 200 yrds from sc and through personal choice wont take my car there. a mates had bad experience with wincanton motors with his pulsar but could be his driving! this is the second time i've owned this car and last time i had it i had the head and turbo replaced by interpro who are shit hot but just a bit far away, looks like it might go there again. the big ends went on that engine and the owner at that time changed the engine rather than fix it, then i think turned up the boost and blew something major. any one had any expeirence with K n R as it seems the last service was done there?
