Yeah was a bit out of the blue!!
He has made his decision though and fair play to him for doing so, he was not happy being away from his family and as stated in the link with the world cup approaching it would have only got worse.
I would rather him step down than stay there being un happy and not giving it 100% as a result though.
He did us proud and we can’t knock him for doing what he has done.
Let’s just hope everyone else on the team see it that way too…

I'd be surprised if it has much/anything to do with his personal life or his family.
Politics and boardroom/changingroom backstabbing are more likely.

Yea you might have a point there mate.
I’m sure if it was family based he could have finished the nation’s games first, and quit after then.
I guess we will never know though lol

It was initially said that he wanted to finish the 6 nations before
finishing. If that was the case why annouce it now? Also if everythings
ok internally why did the the WRU tell him to finish right away?!*
I was hoping we were settled now through to the end of the World Cup.

rumour has it (internet rumour) that he's going to Leicester.
Wonder if its got anything to do with wanting to keep scott johnson, maybe they offered him the job on the sly( I dont think Ruddock had signed his contract) and ruddock found out. theres some mummbling about players not being happy with him, but I'd have thought that would have come out in the papers first.

or Saracens.
Suprised Peter and the WRU don't do a swap for Dai Young!
Would even the WRU want him though?

LOL, they look as if they're about to be rammed good 'n proper. :D
It'll just be starting to boil properly by the game with Ireland comes around, which will probably mean more misery for the WRU.
He must be gutted, he's got loads of personal problems & wants to be with his family, but has to deal with all of this to deal with now too. :wack:

LOL
I think we can safely say now that that was a bending of the truth lol
My rugby contacts in work state some of th facts as:
did not have backing of some senior members in the team (some would call him mini bus - not a proper coach)
was not happy when contract talks were postponed till after the current 6 niations
Had not been given his full £20k bonus after the grand slam
family reasons is bullocks......
