An actor by the name of David Marash (no I haven't heard of him) cannot be linked to Arnie apparently.

Put in a random name and then click on the options until you find one of them that can't be linked to Arnie.

What possible use could this have to anyone though? Students have too much time on their hands. Still it seems bloody clever to an IT dumbo like me - anyone know how it works :confused:

Probably uses a search method called the 'British Museum' algorithm because it is complete (ie checks every possible link) and is optimal (returns the smallest number of links between the actor and Arnie).

Only works where the number of items to search is small, i.e. total number of Hollywood films and stars is realistic for a computer to search in this way.

Seeing at how virtually all 200sx owners work in IT, perhaps we should have a thread on great search algorithms of our time?:rolleyes:

god, even if i type in random names off the back of my Drunken Master DVD they still link to arnie. Damn you arnie !
