Little sh*t virus programmers

Scanning my little network for viruses..
27 infections and counting....
All on the servers. Guess I've been hacked, or someones been downloading porn again. SIGH. Guess I'm gonna have to clean up this mess before I go on holiday tomorrow. At least its only minor. At least when I go on hols, I wont have to put up with this shyt for a week anyways.
Makes me wonder, though. Why do people never listen to the IT pro's? Do they think we just say the stuff we do to justify our (pathetic) wages? THINK BEFORE YOU RUN YOUR EMAIL ATTACHMENTS!!!!
If you're at work, bear this in mind:-
IT companies usually charge out their engineers out at betwqeen £60-£120 per hour.
It will take one person on average 1/2-1 hour to completely clean each computer form the particularily nasty and virulent viruses. Double that for the servers. Thats a lot of money for some idiot opening an attachment sayinng "ANNA KORNICOVA NAKED!!!!!!!" or something generic and not aimed at anybody in particular.

Its not always the users fault!! You can also blame Microsoft who's products make it easy for them to spread... Several worms use a vulnerability in most versions of Outlook or OE which cause attachments to run if the e-mail has malformed header information - without you opening the attachment. Unless patched previewing the message is enough.

you need to get whoever has a say in the matter to make it company policy wrt attachments. then at least if they say it doesnt matter you can point the finger when files go missing or computers die!

the place where i'm working now...

after 3 years, tehy IT bods decided that a vius scanner would be a wizard plan.
it found 97 different viruses
40 of which were those clever littel monkeys that only activeate aftert a scanner has run...
