If you do a lot of calculations needing conversions, downloading ESB Unit Convertor which is totally free, will save you time in using conversion tables. http://www.esbconsult.com/esbcalc/esbunitconv.html

Apolgies didn't look at Skyshacks link which also looks a comprehensive piece of software

For those of us on the run or in a rush, don't forget that Google Calculator (http://www.google.co.uk/help/calculator.html) also has a units convertor built in:

eg
5.7litres in cubic inches (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=5.7litres+in+cubic+inches)
58litres in british gallons (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=58litres+in+british+gallons)

I find this especially useful when working on the car, because google detects I'm using a smartphone/mobile browser and redoes it's output to match.

The Mac has a dashboard app that does most common conversions - otherwise I use this large online converter http://www.onlineconversion.com/ if I'm away from the mac.

Handy one for comparing tyre rolling radius:
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Google will do most unit conversions for you by typing e.g. "12psi in bar".

Not so SX related but there's a good currency convertor here:

If you find yourself only needing one or two conversions, Google (http://google.co.uk/) can sort you out too :)

Example: the search "50 mph in kph" (quotes not needed) will give you 80.46 as the result in Kilometers per hour
