Leeds Festival

Anyone go to Leeds Festival?

I was on the campsite it was crazy, bins were on fire, toilet blocks, tents and the police were getting pelted with bottles. :eek:

I cant see there ever been another festival at Templenewsam again.

I was at the Reading festival and nothing like that happened - Leeds sounded so much more fun :o)

There's a local community group called The Friends Of Templenewsam who try to stop the festival going ahead every year. Basically a group of people who live near the park and dont like the idea of anyone else using it.

It was cancelled once and then Meanfiddler, who organise the event managed to get the go-ahead from Leeds City Council at the last minute and then this happens. Which has more or less ruined the chance of it ever been staged there again.

Yeah I was there, with the police helicopter above my tent all night! It was real interesting watching them rip the fences down burn the toilets etc. But the rioting was worse in 2001 in my opinion.
I took my 200 and parked it in a field for 4 days I was so happy it was there and in one piece when i got back to it.
