cheers

the car has stage 3 spec, I have never been on a dyno so I am not sure of power I'd say about 280 in that vid... running 1.2 bar, optimax, with all the usual stage 3 parts.. I think the car is down on power to some at the same stage of tune but it is hard to tell.

cool Stu, people will talk though;)

Mr Barnes doesn't just do straight lines either..

Radicals and some of the other things there on that day were amazingly fast, Juno 3 litre wotsit, radical SR3,SR4, clubsport, porker race car, and a few hugely tuned skylines. was a great day.

hope to get my car sorted for the april evening track event...

2min 15sec lap of Brands is a pretty good time, very impressive. :D

Car looked well set up - very stable and controllable.

Liking the style and colour

cheers Mel, the fiat was going pretty slowly though. the car felt so slow on straights due to the chassis being so good now, the car needs another 100 or so BHP IMO. there is almost no body roll and this meant carrying quite high speeds through the bends. hence catching the fiat so quickly.

it would have been nice to have had a couple of clear laps but it was a busy day and we were in the expert group with some seriously quick cars so you were constantly looking in your mirrors for radicals etc.. this evening on the indy track will be good though..

Cool vid Steve although it sounds like you treat your car far too nicely! :D

I think that was the last track day I have done in the R34, been out racing in Britcar etc but havent had the GTR out for ages on circuit. On this day I had no synchro between 3rd and 4th hardly, I am fixing it now so will be able to push the car hard next time out as its a bit scarey on the limit when you can select gears :D

Hope to get out again soon though, the GP at Brands is just too good to miss if there is another trackday going on.

Andy :)

Hi Andy,

yes I am a bit polite to my car, got an all steel bottom end planned so hopefully I'll be able to wind it up a bit after that.

I'll be interested to see how fast the 34 is when you push it

how is the britcar going then ?

Brands GP is cool:nod:

the indy circuit is more suited to my car though as it's legs aren't as long as a GTR's. Your 34 is what GTR's are about as far as I am concerned and it's nice to see someone who isn't afraid to use it. it gives a bit of insight where the godzilla reputation came from. ;)

The more you push a GTR the better it gets, if youve got the right bits and are confident with the car it is very quick. Although most drive them fast I think that in the main most are a little scared to push it just in case they get it wrong. Once you know where the line is and you can have alot of frun upto that point and like most cars, its further than you think it is.

Britcar : Yeah cool, we won the last two races at the end of the Championship in 2005, at Brands funny enough on the Indy, one was a night race too - Paddock Hill bend in the dark is a bit interesting :D

I may do some more Britcar this year but really will be concentrating on the new Drag R33, the D1 and Time Attack... So I think I have enough to do :wack:
