copied from the other thread.

Hello All,

After speaking with Ben and Kevin of the SXOC as well as the Chairman of the Mazda Rotary Club (RX7's and RX8's) I have come up with a club day, the details of which are below.

This would be a full day event shared with the Mazda Rotary Club on the 17th February.

Each club will have seven 30 minute sessions, 3 and half hours total circuit time. If both clubs and members agree, we can run an open pit lane in the afternoon allowing members to mix on circuit and possibly providing some friendly competitiveness. Alternatively we can keep to sessions.

Price £149

The timetable is as follows:

7:30 Signing on
8:30 Briefing
9:00 Circuit time begins with Rotary Club
9:30 200sx club
10:00 Rotary
10:30 200sx
11:00 Rotary
11:30 200sx
12:00 Rotary
12:30 200sx
13:00 Lunch time
14:00 Open pit lane untill 5 or Rotary
14:30 200sx
15:00 Rotary
15:30 200sx
16:00 Rotary
16:30 200sx
17:00 Circuit time ends

On this trackday there will be 2 "Club Instructors" which will be available throughout the day offering advice and 10 minute slots of in car tuition free of charge.

I shall also contact some of the Japanese car magazines and ask if they would like to do a feature on the day which I'm sure a few of them would be keen to.

After track time has ended, there is the opportunity to join fellow club members for a drink in the circuit bar.

I think that this would be a very social and fun event for both clubs so if anyone is keen then please post your name and any thoughts you have below and hopefully we can organise this for you!

Kind regards,

Alex Baker

the GTR chaps are always up for a trackday... might be worth going in with them if numbers are a problem.

I have only done trackdays with the GTROC and they are a good bunch.

I look forward to coming on some when I have the car back on the road.

So basically while we the customers are deciding what we'd like to do, its been decided for us by MSV  and now its a friday instead of a bank holiday or an evening

3.5 hours of session for £150

On the BAT days you get 6 hours for that kind of money, and its open pit so you don't have so much congestion

The evening SXOC only BBQ idea was the best :(

car won't be 2006 spec by feb 18th, one vote for April evening

I'm hoping that my S13 will be in the bodyshop in Feb, and I'd prefer the evening anyway :)

I'm very interested in April. I don't trust my car for Feb though.

Assuming I have a working car and am about I will do this. Won't be able to pay for it until the 27th Jan when I get paid though as I'm about to get shite loads of bills for the 'liner. To be fair, April might be better, but I will do either. :)
Feb would be better for the cars as it is more likely to be cool. :)

P.S. It's spelt MAZDA ;) hahahaha

No, I think Mazda & MSV would prefer the earlier date, and we dont have 50 cars for an SXOC only date, its an offer on-top of the old offer, which still stands.

I have said on several threads that Brands is the most expensive track in the country, its not MSV, even in Indy layout its 3rd/4th only to Brands GP, Silverstone GP, and maybe Silverstone National. It is London remember ;)

I mentioned to MSV that we would have a poll, but suspected that the original plan would be the best

TT - I'll edit my X/Z

Pete - I'm sure GTROC would help us out if we needed numbers, and FCCUK and we have been asked for a joint trackday with DC2 club too. I'm trying to sort all of these, and the Euro-roadtrip and the spethial event :wack:

Well if the other offer still stands we are OK then I'll be going in April for an Evening and BBQ

It looks that way on the vote Phil, I've just PM'd most people who showed interest in the thread in members asking for a vote.

Kev,

The day sounds great, the only thing that would put me off is the weather in feb. The nearer to the summer the better chance of dry conditions. 3 and a half hours in the wet doesn't sound fun to me.

I'd definately do april, possibly both :)

I'd prefer to do a full day but the car is unlikely to be ready by then so I've voted for the evening in April:nod:

I'm sure we can have an event later in the year, as well as this evening

Doh, due to a change in circumstances I can't make a weekday event any more.

So either evening for me, and/or another event later in the year on a Sat/Sun
