New Ferrari 'Enzo'

Have got the new edition of Evo and have been reading the review of the new Ferrari Enzo.

Whilst it no doubt sounds an impressive machine (despite having slightly daft name) to my eyes it is pretty damn ugly :(

The rear looks unfinished, the front looks contrived all the vents and scoops make it look fussy. I appreciate that wind tunnel developement dictates a lot of this, but Ferrari's should be draw droppingly gorgeous, not jast jaw dropping :(

Interested to hear anyone else's POV on it? And perhaps on whether cars are generally getting uglier (7 series, Cayanne etc)?

yeah i got that evo mag, and yeah me thinks its pretty ugly too - in fact id go as far as to say that its the ugliest ferrari ive ever seen, or at least for a good few years:eek:

I also have that evo but i like it. Considering i'm not a Ferrari fan.
I like cars that just look functional like the S14a with all the holes in the front.

Mondial of late 80's early 90's was pretty ungainly.

I thought the intial reaction to the 360 was totally unfounded though, looks great in pics and even better in the mettle (spelling? :o )

Maybe the Enzo will look good in real life too, preferably sat on my drive (it may be ugly but I'd still swap the S13 for one :D )

Yeah I know what your saying but I notice there are no proper side profile pics of it in evo it looks stubby but i'll have to reserve judgement till i see a profile

When the 360 came out I wasn't sure and then I saw a couple in the flesh!!!:D :D :D bling bling.

I know what you are saying about the Enzo, but right now I cannot think of a more desirable or more impressive car that is currently being produced,

All that carbon, all that power, so red, so shiny..ooooooooh.

PS I would have a new 911 to take me to and from the Ferrari dealership when it broke down!

I got that Evo and agree that it looks ugly. Also didn't think that much of 360 but then saw one. Thats the problem with Ferraris - much as I like to hate them, they look like porn on wheels. However, they are just a rich mans Bimmer - same type of person drives them.

You hit the nail on the head there - I reckon that alot of Ferrari owners made their million went straight out to the Ferrari dealership, without going to see Maserati, TVR, Lister, Lamborghini etc - ie they buy it cos its a status symbol, as you say, just like BMW drivers.

I quite like it guys, its not ferrari's usual style admittedly. It looks GT car-ish. A change from the norm for ferrari ;)

If I had the choice of a new Ferrari or new Lambo, I would pick the LAmbo. Apparently they are now getting Audi Build Quality :eek: An Italian car with German build quality? WTF is going on.


Plus I would never choose a TVR over a Ferrari.

IMHO I like it. Ive seen sort of prototype piccys of it, but thats the first time Ive seen a photo.

Dont ask me why I like it, Im not going to say stuff like "I love the way the wing blends........" , I just looked at the picture and liked it.

I would get the new Lambo too. Only thing holding me back is not being able to pronounce the name :rolleyes:
