Used to drink with the bloke that owns that site. He went to school with some friends of mine. He also did the movie bit on the big breakfast before the show got cancelled.

Quiet bloke he was, loaded now i guess.

"In the first street race, as Dom shifts into 1st gear, the camera takes you through the interior of the engine. As you pass by the gear box, you then go by the cam-shaft. Dom is driving a Mazda RX-7. The engine in any RX-7 is a rotary engine, thus, would NOT have a cam-shaft" :D

How could anyone stand to watch such a complete load of drivel so many times to spot that lot.

One additional to add (hey, I watched in once, it was enough):
during one the drag races, there is an S2000 facing off with a VW vento. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but that vento must be fwd. Imagine a fwd drag racer and just how scrabbly that would be.

In the beginning race, they mention blowing the welds off of the manifolds. If you know your metals and car parts, any manifold (intake or exhaust) that has welds has usually been damaged in the past and the weld is a quick fix. They are usually made by casts and no welds are used in making them.

Obviously doesn't expect a 10 second car to use a tubular Exhaust manifold

When they bring the wrecked Supra into the shop, the kid open the bonnet ad goes 'Whoa, 2JZ'.

WTF was he expecting to find? Supra's only ever had a 2JZ, and this kid is supposed to know about car tuning.

In addition, the engine in that shot is the non-turbo one. While it's possible to fit a turbo kit to the non-turbo engine, it's far cheaper, faster and easier to get more power from the turbo motor.

Watched it for the first time last night.
An amusing film and glad I watched it.

I also learned that the more you knacker up your motor, the faster it goes.

Also caught the non-existant passenger seat floor and the disappearing Sparcos.
Ignored most of the tech stuff because it was mainly total tosh and obviously so. Gave me a chuckel or two, though. Apparently, one of the best things about gas shocks is they save 2lb of weight!

Nice touch were the gas lines 'twitching' properly when they were pressured up.

Winced when turboed motors were just turned off.

Wrecked/burned supra still had nice tyres on it.

Heated debate was started on double declutching with friends. Website isn't really right either... double declutching didn't go out with old trucks!

Thing that SHOULD have happened:

Hero and Diesel are 'escorted' to the Yakuza HQ for their talking to. Motorcycles and car pull up.
Cut to aged Japanese Yakuza boss stiding out to address our two heros.

'Look what you do to finest Japanese machinary'
'What this blue S*** down the side, huh?'
'You disrespect car of my ancestors'
'What these stickers? What you thinking, huh?'
'You make fine machine look stupid'

Yakuza boss looks to guards, nods then turns to walk away.

Bikers blow up car and hand heros wakasashi to commit sepuku with to remove the stain of honour caused by such tasteless graphics.
