Donny Show 2006 @ Castle Donnington/D1GB Qualifiers - 15/16th April [Archive]

Due to a number of sxoc members including myself after going to this event i am now organising a sxoc stand and possable track time over the weekend of 15th 16th of April 2006

The doncaster show is now Located at the centre of the UK near Nottingham and Derby with easy access from the M1 and M42 motorways, Donington Park has been synonymous with British Motorsport for decades.

The new look RIPSPEED Donny will have many fantastic new features including:
• Car manufacturers test ride facility on the Donington Park circuit
• 0-60 Sprint strip
• International car catwalk
• Pit lane exhibitions
• Action track entertainment
• World class drifting
• Celebrity guests
• d1gp qualifying

To be on the stand of the weekend of the show:-
drivers £25
passangers £30
camping £20 per car

if you would like to be on the stand for a day or weekend please pm me

payment now made for people on the stand and camping

track time is £20 for 15minites and unless we can get 30 cars together it will be a matter of sorting this out your self at the show!!

Also SXOC will also be at a trackday at Donnington on the monday, so why not stay over for extra partying Sunday night
Details of the trackday can be found in the motorsport section. Free passenger rides with SXOC members will be available on the trackday if you dont wish to enter yourself

ok if any one elss whats to go you have untill the 17th of this month to get payments to me as this is the deadline with Live Promotions Events Ltd this date give me a few days to fill in all the paperwork etc.. and get the final numbers and info into them

The monday full trackday is now confirmed with over a dozen SXOC people, for thoose wanting to stay an extra night and grab some (Free) passenger laps with those attending :D

I'll be there all weekend, but will be stuck working on the K-Sport stand, feel freee to come and chat though :nod:

3) April 14th 15th and 16th. It basically opens on Friday to set up camp and the show etc runs on Friday and Saturday.

ive got a 3man tent and a 2 man tent but space in the car is going to be the difficult thing as i need to bring wheels and tyres and tools and oil and a gazebo etc for the trackday too.

managed to squeeze 4 300zx wheels with tyres and 4 spare tyres in the car yesterday but that was without a passenger seat so i will have to start statergising how to fit it all in

Thats good going :D Most I've had in is 4 R33 wheels and 2 spare tyres - full interior in place. I practically had my face pressed against the windscreen like lol.

I need to speak to my mate about the tent situation - if nothing can be sorted I may cry for help lads. CHeers :thumbs:

one thing that i was wondering about was food.

what are people taking and can you buy there or near there as i will be there fri/sat/sun/mon and tend to eat a lot and dont have a mini fridge or anything to store food in :(

Im from near Stockton/Middlesbrough area. What time are you planning on going?? I was going to try and go slightly early to beat the rush and lock down some campsite space for us all but I dunno. WHere are you convoying from mate?

Previous years I have just eaten at the local KFC or eaten crisps/other packaged foods (healthy I know :wack: ) Unfortunately that was in Doncaster and I dont know what is around Donington Park.

I will probably take a few BBQ tray things and some meat. My main sustenance is going to come from my crate of Stella :nod:

One worry is where to shit :indiff: Last year I went to the local Asda but I dont think there is that luxury this year. Im not introducing my arse to the Portacabins thats for sure :hurl: :hurl:

ill pack LOADS of crappy junk food and loads of bbq food for the friday night and then see about popping over to the nearest shop for more meat on sat and sun to fuel more bbq's:D i might even dig out any camping gear i have lying aound like a little gas stove for some good fry-ups in the mornings :nod: but that is just more crap to try and fit in the car :rolleyes:

they have portaloo's but not sure if they will be safe.

i was thinking of perhaps a little later than that as i will no doubt be rushing around trying to sort my car out, squeeze more stuff than is physically possbile into it and then stocking up on food.

ill get in touch a little closer to the date if you want and see how well prepared i am as that will more than likely determine when im going to set off.

i may have to get the car laser alinged on that friday if i cant get in before

Oh dear.... Not good news i am afraid.. unconfirmed reports state a young woman was gang raped in the camping area on saturday night by her boyfriend and 5 of his mates... :( Although it doesnt suprise me its still horrible and the animals deserve to have thier cocks cut off...! :censored:
