Spotted a little debate on the TT forum about the new 350Z.

http://www2.ttforum.co.uk/YaBB.pl?board=WebTTForum;action=display;num=102971 5916;start=0

It then goes on to talk about 4WD vs. RWD. Later on someone says "Nissans RWD pedigree has not exactly been world class and the 200sx and 300sx were plain crap within their peer groups. "

I've put it in quotes so the whole link appears. Can anyone tell me how to past quotes correctly?

This is really embarrassing - replying to my own post twice! :o
The link above is 99% correct...
When you paste it into the browser, delete the space between "pl? board" and it should work. Don't forget to append the rt=0 on the end too. :o :o

I sat in a new 350Z last week - it's well comfy, rather nice, but a bit large and somewhat lacking in the tubby department... Overall a damn nice, and rather cheap quality motor :)

Which is more than can be said for the TT which is a semi-scrabbly, overpriced, hairdressermobile:D

Hang on....

200sx... crap??????!!!!!

Damn, I've not yet come across a single munchkin TT that I haven't pasted...

And the 200sx is a LEGEND among RWD cars, especially the 180sx or the Silvia, as most people across the world know the S13.

And I think those damn hairdressers and half-witted ponces will have to agree that the R32 Skyline is a pedigree of it's own when it comes to RR capability.

Guys,

Come on, be serious, what do you expect of the TT mob. Just think about the kind of people who usually buy them:
1. Got more f..king money than sense by buying something so expensive to start with (i.e. almost certainly new)
2. More interested in the way it looks than whether it's interesting to drive
3. Based on point 2, probably have no significant driving ability worth speaking of, therefore need 4wd to keep them on the road.

Just to back this point up, I have a friend of mine at work who has a TT 225 cabby. Sure enough, nice guy, but knows bugger all about cars, has more money than sense, and is more into trying to look cool than drive it hard.

After all, think of all the cars they could have bought instead of a new TT (admittedly second hand):
- Supra turbo
- TVR
- Skyline GTR
- RX7 (dribble, dribble)

Lets hope that these guys don't buy the new 350GT when it gets here, that way it'll only be sold to people who care about driving, and due to it's image means that it'll be another performance bargain in 3-4 years.

hehe you're right.

I'm not going to visit that link tho... I openly exclaim within earshot of TT owners their car is ****e (girly, slow and ugly) so imagine what I could do when hiding behind a computer ;)

Just goes to show money doesn't cure ignorance.

BTW am I the only one who things that the TT Cabriolet looks like something Noddy would drive?
