Hi everyone. I am a newbie here and would appreciate some advice from any of you. I am from M'sia and am a keen amateur racer. Have been a regular racer at the Sepang F1 circuit over here.

I just bought an S14 Silvia. I am planning to race this car next year. I am installing a rb26dett engine (from my R33GTR) into this S14. I am going to run it in rear wheel drive form. My question is this. How's the handling of the S14 as a circuit car in stock form? I know it is great for drifting as it is f/r. But with the right suspensions set up and body work, can the S14 handle well as a circuit car?

I would also like to know whether the installation of a traction control device on the S14 greatly improve its handling as a circuit car?

Thanking all of you in advance.

Meery Christmas and a very happy new year.

Stock suspension + corner =

I remember reading about an s14a a few years ago with a some suspension mods and it was making 1.15 lateral G.

If you sort everything suspension wise - it can be a very good fast track car. They dont handle particularly great as standard, but if you fit a set of coilovers, anti roll bars, strut braces, all new poly bushes for steering, suspension, subframe, fit decent wide wheels with good tyres - i am sure you will be very happy with it.
