Men and motors prog on last night.
They take someone and try and sell him 1 of 3 cars they recommend.
Last night guess what turned up a V plate S14a no less.
The competition consisted of.
X plate ford cougar and a coupla grand more than the S14a (which was costed at £9500).
And a Y plate MG ZS (i think) 120 the rover 45 tarted up one.
Anyway he gets in the SX and straight away his face is pure joy then he realises how much power he has and starts spinning it etc. So he gets out well chuffed.
They plonk him in the cougar - Verdict was old man and to lardy no where near the same performance.
Finally they stick him in the 120 which has 115bhp and a 1.8 litre engine lol. - He asked if he could swear when describing the MG. Anyway consigning the MG to the spare parts bucket as a BBC scabbler with no power they ask him which he would go for.
No hesitation the 200SX which turned out to be the cheapest. Reasons he wanted it ?
Agressive styling, fantastic engine and handling + rear wheel drive smugness. The only downside eggbox interior but he was hardly bothered lol.
Pray to god our secret doesn't get out much further !
Nice to see the SX still ruling the roost but lets face it the only competition for a car in this class is other classics like the supra etc. They just don't build cars like this now.
