What is it with this place?

Do I wear a baseball cap the wrong way? NO

Do I drive a Corsa? NO

Then why?

When I go in needing an orange indicator bulb for the Volvo I find there aren't any. This boy comes along wearing a uniform (though he can't have been more then 12 years old :D) and suggest I try blue or green bulbs instead.

Aaaaaaaargh!!

"No only is that illegal but it looks fecking stupid as well", I said "particularly on a Corsa". And with thaqt a flounced out :p

Bunch of w@nkers

the halfords in town in Nuneaton is bad for that too.
car park usually full of badly modded saxo's and nova's covered with all the cheapo "ripspeed" branded crap they can take. im sure it probably holds back the huge  power of those 3 cylinder 1 litre corsa's more than anything else. all of the lads have white bbc's on and just stand by the stereo's looking at the cheapest kenwood model availiable claiming to their posse that its louder than concord or something :p
I have nothing against good quality stereo's as if someone took all mine out of my car i would go mad (cant stand all that factory fitted rattling bodywork that my pug probably rolled out the factory with :D ) but it does make me dispare.

Latest meeting with Halfrauds was today
'Got any silicon hose of this diameter' I say, producing a section.
'nope'
'Ok... got any silicon hose?'
'nope'
'Got any type of hose at all?'
'fraid not, you might want to try SCA'

HOSE! For crying out loud! It's not exactly uncommon in cars! And they don't stock it! Lots of 'max power' floormats and Ripoffspeed gear knobs though!

I think Swansea must have the very best Halfords in the world.
It's actually okay. excellent tools, One guy inparticular who works on the desk is okay.
Brake pads, well no, but i can understand that, it's hardly worth their while stocking for a car that prehaps there are 10 in swansea for.

Maybe they will prove me wrong one day, there is the usual bunch of overwieght sticky & flashy accesorized sh*t tins out side, but your gonna get that, good donutting car park though. :)

I have to admit that I don't go in there expecting to find out proper info, or being able to buy S13 specific stuff, fortunately there is a cool place just down the road for that kinda stuff.

Not having orange indicators is a tad w@nk though!!!!!!!!

Yeah - I don't even bother with Halfords for actual car bits, they've never been that good in my experience for anything other than service items - even before they sold their soul to the baseball cap wearing beelzebub. Lovely range of air fresheners, though......

Yeah. Took me about 15 minutes to decide which one to get a while back! Went for a little fan one which now squeeks.
Also, it keeps stalling while my fan is on high and makes irritating clatter noises. Hopefully the blades will shatter soon!

I ordered some Red Dot brake discs and pads a couple of weeks ago (just cos I was desperate!) from halfords in Newbury.

When I asked how long they would take to come in-
"They'll be in day after tomorrow mate!"

A week later and I get a call from the same spotty little tw@t -"got yer brakes in for ya mate!"

I go to pick them up, come back, jack the car up,wheel off, loosen calipers etc etc..................put the new disc on and get to the pads.......

They were only the wrong bloody ones.(even though on the box it clearly stated 89-91 nissan 200sx)

took em another week to get the right ones in.
bloody useless.

hehe, get loads of Novas and other turd baskets parked outside the Newbury branch too.
