Got an MR2 Turbo on Saturday, goes like this:-

Black
T-Bar roof
46k miles
Mint Condition
226 bhp at wheels (got RR graph)
Fast as fuk
Climate Control
Leather
CD/TV
Other electric stuff
Fire extinguisher...cool

£7400

Basically its orgasmic, in a different league to an S13, bit more expensive though obviously.

The handling is fantastic, it just sticks and sticks and sticks etc...

Looks nice mate :)

Seems like there has been a few people on this board going off to buy MR2 turbos lately. Are they generally thought of as better than upgrading to an S14, which must be comparable in terms of performance but are likely to be cheaper?

‘spose if you know you won’t be using the back seats then an MR2 must be lighter and is it easier to tune?

Always nice knowing there are options as and when I get bored of an S13 and/or it finally gives up the ghost ;)

Yeah it has an LSD, I think anything post '93 comes with one as standard (mines a '94).

I wouldn't compare them with an S14 really.
The S14 is a GT car so is a bit more supple, comfy and pratical. The MR2 turbo is more of a race rep and is a bit harsh suspension wise. The Turbo has uprated shocks, its handles like fury but is a tad hard over bumps. There's a knack to getting in and out that I haven't yet mastered...its very low down.

They do have a suprising amount of storage space though and if you don't need a back seat and can live with the hard ride, then get one you won't regret it.
