...bought an automatic Renault Laguna home with me today (pool car). Have to say, I'm quite impressed with an auto - ultimate lazy git accessory!! :D Makes sitting in traffic less of a chore, which is quite common in my 130 mile return journey to work! :eek:

havign said that, US Starions are quicker with auto boxes...
Well, I've give it back now. My only critism is that the box didn't seem to know which gear was best - was great for sitting in traffic tho. In all honesty, I don't think I'd have a preference between auto and manual.
My 140 return journey to work finishes in 3 weeks time when I finish my placement. The company has been very good to me because it has let me borrow a pool car for a few days most weeks to visit the other office we have in B'ham - letting me take the car home and keep the mileage off the 2*****. Most I've had from a tank in it would be around the 420 mark. On thats during rush hour - 60-70mph mway driving.
