View Full Version : How much for coilovers?
Where can I get a set of (not overly expensive) coilovers, and how much?
Cheers,
James

LEDA will make you some for about £800, I think there is a 3 week lead time for them.
Cheers for that, but I'm really impatient, and in the meantime my arse end will be skating round like torville and dean.
I should probably mention that they'd be for an s14.

You wont get anthing under a grand quickly.
I dont know of anyone in the UK selling coilovers for the S14. I believe Leda only do them for the S13.
As Ben says youre looking at a grand+ for a set of imported coilovers.
Why do you want coilovers, wont uprated 'normal' shocks do you?
The reason I was after coilovers was because I wanted to drop the ride height of my s14. To be honest, I didn't really think that a set of springs and dampers would lower it enough.
If you think springs and dampers would be enough, could you tell me how much I could expect to pay?
Cheers.

You want a set of Eibach Sportslines for 240sx, they'll lower the car shed loads. You'll also need uprated dampers as the sportslines are well known for killing the standard shocks.
You can only lower and S14 so far before you start ripping off the front valance anyway.
Ill charge you £250 for a set of KYBs (others will charge you £330+!). They are 30% uprated and are a very high quality twin gas shock. A set of Apex springs will drop you car around 40mm and cost £105 :)
Nice one Bren! How long do you think it would take to get them delivered?
Hey Ben, what is a 240sx? I've seen these mentioned here and there but have no idea what they are.

240sx is the US name for the 200sx, it came with a 2.4L 4 cylinder (called the KA24) and was available in S13 hatchback and coupe and later S14 coupe. The S13 had a SOHC engine and the S14 had a DOHC engine...
The KYBs are available immediately but Im waiting for a batch of Apex springs to arrive. If youre in a rush then you could go for Eibachs at £150 but they dont drop as much as the Apex items :)
Cheers for getting back to me!
How do I place the order with you? Is it best to call the phone number on your signature image?
Cheers again mate! :D
Yeah, just give me a ring :)
