Just ordered ADSL finally. Just gotta hope they dont find any problems with the phone line, then order my hardware :) happy days :)

Are you getting it off BT? If so they are a bunch of useless halfwits. I got mine in February, and it was great. Then I had to move house, so they take the rest of the year's money off you (even though I was getting it installed at my new house), promising they'll give me it back when the new contract is up. So I have to go through the whole 'new order' process, waiting weeks.
So they activate it at my new house, and it kills my voice line (cos of some DACS line sharer or something). BT engineer comes orund and fixes my voice line and adsl, great. Five weeks pass, then I get an email saying my line has failed its test (even though I got a 'passed' email previously), and they switch it off.

Call support, they say they'll see what they can do, call me back in next two days. They don't (obviously), I call them, they say they can't switch it back on, I need to place another new order. I go mental, they just are stupid at me.
They are based in Alness - feckin teuchters.

PS - I asked about complaining - they gave me a postal address. "What about the complaints@btopenworld.com email address I used last time" I ask. "That address doesn't work sir". Useless, useless.

Worst thing is that when it is working it is absolutely fecking marvellous.
