Hello folks. :wave:
I need some advice,i have an S14 But the damn thing has only gone and thrown
a leg out!!!So it looks like i need a new engine a bit of a nitemare considering the present one only has 50k on it.
I need to know who/where to take it. Who do you trust with your pride and joy??
Does anyone know roughly the cost of getting an engine fitted and the sort of time scales involved.

The car is running full stage 1. I want to transfer the mods over to the new engine.Can the chip be removed and transfered to the new engine or do I need to buy a new chip??


ps. Anyone need any engine parts??

what happened- no oil??

it hard to know who to trust these days. I've heard good things about that new place in lisburn tho. heard of an mr2 turbo engine being fitted in there- cost over a grand tho :nod:

providing the new engine comes out an s14 (not s14a), you will be able to use the same chip/entire ecu.

timescale just depends how much other work they have on.

speak to emmy- AFAIK she just got a new engine put in her s13 ;)

Starved of Oil.Thats what I was thinking although there was plenty in her as
changed it four weeks before it went pop.Possibly the oil pump failed or some sort of pipes may have got blocked.
I work right beside East Coast Customs so I've already called in and had chat.I was asking how much it would roughly cost but they said they hadnt worked on a 200 before so it would be difficult to quote.
But by the looks of the premises and that Bently sittin outside,it wont be cheap!

No oil patches on you driveway or anything? sometimes the oil feed to the turbo would break, but you would have noticed that sooner i'm sure :nod:

well ECC would be handy if nothing else :wack: they are bound to be able to give you a ball park figure, it couldn't be that different than any other swap :confused:
